In Xiegang Town, Dongguan, an ancient tree known as the "Lychee King" attracts much attention. Going through 170 years of ups and downs, the "Lychee King" is still lush and straight. It is reported that this ancient tree has been producing high-quality lychees for many years with an annual yield of more than 1,000 KG. In 1992, it even set a historical record of 1,500 KG. It is currently contracted by the local villagers and is carefully protected.

在东莞谢岗镇，有一颗“荔枝王”古树备受关注。这棵古树名木历经170多年的风雨洗礼，依旧苍翠挺拔。据悉，这棵古树连续多年年产优质荔枝2000多斤，1992年竟创下单株3000斤的历史纪录，由此得名“荔枝王”。作为集体资产，该树的承包经营权曾几度易手，目前由谢岗镇南面村村民承包，村内种植能手给予技术指导，加以保护。
