The culture of Aoyu in Guangzhou has a history of 600 years. According to the legend, two Aoyu saved a scholar who was being chased by an enchantress in the Shayong area of Guangzhou. Influenced by the fish lantern dance introduced from Zhejiang province, the story gradually developed into the Aoyu dance, which also popularized the related hand made products. The representative inheritor of Guangzhou’s Intangible Cultural Heritage, Xing Zeliang, who is 64 years old, is good at “dancing, making, teaching and editing” the Aoyu culture. It can be said that he has dedicated his life to the inheritance of the culture of Aoyu.
广州鳌鱼文化已有600年历史，相传沙涌一带有两只鳌鱼救下被女妖追逼的书生，书生考中状元后将两只鳌鱼点化成仙，后结合浙江传入的鱼灯舞，逐渐发展出鳌鱼舞，鳌鱼舞所需的鳌鱼头套扎作也兴盛起来。广州非遗代表性传承人幸泽良今年64岁，他在鳌鱼文化的“舞、扎、教、编”方面四项全能，可以说，他将一生献给了鳌鱼文化的传承。
