Music is in the air in Huizhou as the citizens need music to wake up and shake up to welcome their every unforgettable moment. Huizhou has been known as an “Art Treasure” for a very long time, of which its traditional folk songs have been widely known, such as the HuiDong Fisherman’s songs (National Intangible Cultural Heritage), Hakka Shan’ge (Mountain songs) and Dongjiang folk songs. Founded last October, the Huizhou Symphony Orchestra is the fourth symphony hall named after the city. The majority of its members are China’s Gen Z and it is believed that they will inject more and more surprises into the music.
自古广东惠州老百姓便喜欢以歌自娱、以歌解忧,音乐已内化成一种生活方式。惠州也成为了一座“音乐资源富矿”:惠东渔歌(国家非遗)声名远播,客家山歌独树一帜,东江歌谣口口相传。去年10月成立的惠州交响乐团是广东第四家以城市命名的交响乐团,坚持以学生为班底,为惠州音乐发展注入一股强大活力。
