The district hosted the men's singles final of an ATP Challenger event, followed by the WTA Guangzhou Open. The Guangzhou Loong Lions, a CBA team, also played their first home game of the new season at Nansha Gymnasium. But Nansha's ambitions go beyond hosting competitions. The district is developing a distinctive identity as a city where sports and live entertainment go hand in hand, with a focus on attracting major sporting events and performances. For outdoor enthusiasts, Nansha also offers plenty of room to explore, including a 50-kilometer waterfront loop along the bay and a 100-kilometer cycling route through its coastal and mountain landscapes.
