On the morning of October 29th, the 25th Shantou · Chenghai International Toys & Gifts Fair (CITF) officially opened at the Shantou International Convention and Exhibition Center. With the theme "Guangdong Goods & Toys for the World," the fair will run through November 1st, showcasing the achievements and industrial strengths built up over 50 years of development in Chenghai's toy industry.
According to the organizing committee, this year's fair covers more than 100,000 square meters across 11 exhibition halls and features more than 2,500 exhibiting brands. Certified by the Global Association of the Exhibition Industry (UFI), the fair has attracted buyers from 55 countries and regions. To facilitate attendance, the organizers introduced direct charter flight routes linking Guangzhou, the host city of the Canton Fair, and Yiwu with Shantou, making it easier for buyers and business visitors from around the world to attend the fair in Chenghai.

A major highlight of the fair was the launch of "Chengcheng AI", a large language model designed to serve as the digital brain of Chenghai's toy industry. It provides industry professionals and buyers with intelligent information retrieval, new product matchmaking, and resource matching services. The fair also features an AI Toy Eco Exhibition to promote the deeper integration of AI into traditional toys and accelerate the industry's intelligent transformation.
Furthermore, the fair has introduced a dedicated zone for "AI Token Going Global." Supported by the digital platform for global expansion of the Overseas Chinese Economic and Cultural Cooperation Pilot Zone, the initiative introduces a new business model that combines hardware sales with computing power services. This model shifts traditional toys from a one-time sales approach to a more sustainable revenue model, combining revenue from hardware sales with long-term revenue from computing power services.
The international exhibition area has become more diverse this year, with new halls from Brazil and Macao, China, joining the existing halls from South Korea, Pakistan, and Hong Kong, China. For the first time, exhibitors from outside Shantou, including those from overseas, account for more than 30% of all exhibitors. The fair also features the IP Licensing · Designer Toys Exhibition, the CITF Toy Accessories Exhibition, and the Machinery Exhibition. Other events include a Cross-border Procurement Matchmaking Event, the 4th China Building Block Industry Conference, and a premium products ordering fair featuring leading manufacturers. Together, these activities aim to connect buyers directly with manufacturers at the source of production.
The fair will continue its format of "2.5 days for trade buyers and 1.5 days for the general public." From October 29th to noon on October 31st, it will focus on helping trade buyers select products and place orders. From noon on October 31st through November 1st, it will be open to the public free of charge. This year, the fair will also partner with a local market brand for the first time to host the inaugural Chaoshan International Cultural Creative Industries & Cultural Tourism Expo. Bringing intangible cultural heritage, original designs, and toys and designer toys together under one roof, the event caters to professional buyers while also welcoming families.
