At Central Park Mall in Jakarta, MINISO's largest store worldwide drew huge crowds on its opening day. All 30 checkout counters were operating simultaneously, yet some shoppers still had to wait up to three hours to pay. In October 2024, the store launched its Harry Potter collection, breaking the brand's global single-day sales record within six hours. Sales reached 3.08 million yuan over its first weekend.

Guangdong-made products have become deeply embedded in Indonesians' daily lives and production. Indonesia, in turn, is leveraging its resource advantages to expand projects and establish factories in Guangdong. Economic and trade ties between the two sides are moving beyond the goods flow toward deeper industrial integration, with each side becoming embedded in the other's industrial networks through manufacturing, procurement and services.

Guangdong enterprises are moving production lines to Indonesia. BYD and OPPO have established production lines or manufacturing bases in Indonesia; Midea's refrigerator plant in Karawang has created thousands of jobs; and BTR's anode material base fills a gap in ASEAN's lithium-battery anode sector. Guangdong Guangxin Holdings Group's Guangqing project in Indonesia involves a total investment of 1.031 billion US dollars; a decade later, its nickel-cobalt high-pressure acid leaching (HPAL) project has grown to about 2 billion US dollars and is expected to begin production by the end of this year.

Indonesian enterprises are also stepping up their presence in Guangdong. When the commercial giant Kawan Lama Group first attended the Canton Fair more than 30 years ago, its procurement team numbered just a handful of people; today it operates roughly 500 stores with nearly 40,000 employees. In August this year, the PPIG Jakarta Business Center became its Indonesia new-product selection hub, bringing the product viewing and selection process forward to Jakarta.

Data from the Consulate General of the Republic of Indonesia in Guangzhou shows that Indonesia-Guangdong trade reached 22.49 billion US dollars in 2025, accounting for more than 50% of Indonesia's total trade with South China. The consulate invoked the saying "A single tree does not make a forest; a single string cannot make music" to describe the cooperation, identifying smart manufacturing, green energy, and light industry as the three high-potential sectors.

广东：与印尼经贸从“货物流动”走向“产业互嵌”

在雅加达中央公园购物中心，名创优品全球最大门店开业首日，30台收银机同时开工，有人结账仍要等上3个小时。2024年10月，哈利·波特联名在这里首发，6小时打破其全球单日业绩纪录，首周末卖出308万元人民币。

广货已深深融入印尼人的生产生活；印尼也正发挥资源优势，在粤拓展项目、开设工厂。双方经贸关系正从“货物流动”走向“产业互嵌”，通过制造、采购、服务等节点，各自嵌进对方产业网络。

粤企把产线搬到印尼。比亚迪、OPPO在印尼落地生产线或制造基地；美的在卡拉旺的冰箱厂创造数千个就业机会；贝特瑞的负极材料基地填补东盟锂电负极领域空白。广新控股在印尼的广青项目总投资10.31亿美元，10年后镍钴湿法冶炼项目增至约20亿美元，预计今年年底投产。

印尼企业也在加码在粤布局。商业巨头长友集团30多年前首进广交会时，采购团队只有几个人；如今已发展至约500家门店、近4万员工。今年8月，PPIG雅加达商务中心成为其印尼新品选品中心，把“看货”前置到雅加达。

印尼驻穗总领馆数据显示，2025年印尼与广东贸易额为224.9亿美元，占印尼与华南地区贸易总额50%以上。领事馆用“独木不成林，单弦不成音”形容双方合作，并点出智能制造、绿色能源和轻工业三大高潜力领域。
