The 16th China International Aviation & Aerospace Exhibition will be held in Zhuhai, Guangdong Province, from December 7th to 13th, according to a press conference for the event held in Beijing on October 13th. This year marks the 30th anniversary of the exhibition.

This year's exhibition is set to reach an unprecedented scale. It will feature nearly 150,000 square meters of indoor exhibition space and 335,000 square meters of outdoor exhibition and support areas, attracting over 1,100 enterprises from nearly 50 countries and regions. More than 3,000 pieces of equipment will be showcased, with first-time exhibits accounting for approximately 10%.

For the first time, the event will adopt a "one show, three zones" layout. At the main venue of the Zhuhai International Airshow Center, the number of exhibition halls has expanded to 14, boosting indoor exhibition space by 12.5% compared to the previous edition. The newly added Gaolan maritime equipment display zone marks the airshow's first foray into maritime displays, where the PLA Navy will statically display in-service vessels. Meanwhile, the Lianzhou unmanned equipment exhibition zone focuses on systematic demonstrations of unmanned and anti-unmanned capabilities, with 90 enterprises and 40 aircraft registered to participate.

Gao Xiang, Deputy Director of the Political Work Department of the PLA Air Force, announced that multiple types of primary combat equipment will make their debut. The Air Force will also establish its first talent recruitment booth and introduce a dedicated digital and smart sector for the first time.

Chinese defense giants will appear in force. Aviation Industry Corporation of China (AVIC) is bringing over 370 products—a more than 30% increase over the previous edition. Aero Engine Corporation of China (AECC) will exhibit nearly 90 types of products, including aero-engines and gas turbines, with nearly half making their public debut. China Electronics Technology Group Corporation (CETC) will showcase 550 cutting-edge products, including 73 military items exhibited for the first time. China North Industries Group Corporation (Norinco Group) will present a total of 468 exhibits.

National pavilions from countries such as Russia, the United States, France, and Germany are scaling up their participation. The PLA Air Force August 1st aerobatic team will perform alongside two foreign aerobatic teams: the Russian Knights and the United Arab Emirates Air Force's Fursan Al Emarat. The main exhibition area will feature over 170 aircraft, hitting a record high. Public-day tickets will go on sale starting October 19th.
