The National Day holiday is triggering a travel boom. Data released by the Guangdong Provincial Department of Transport on September 30th indicates that the province expects to see 250 million cross-regional passenger trips, averaging about 36 million per day, an increase of 6.5% compared with the same period in 2025.

On September 30th, the day before the National Day holiday, China Railway Guangzhou Group experienced an initial passenger peak, with an estimated 2.66 million passenger trips. Starting September 30th, passenger traffic is expected to remain at an elevated level. The peak is expected on October 1st, when passenger volume will reach 3.837 million trips, marking a year-on-year increase of 330,000 trips, or a growth of 9.4%.

Stations including Shenzhen North Railway Station, Shenzhen Railway Station, Futian Railway Station and Shenzhen East Railway Station have extended their operating hours. They have also stepped up nighttime cleaning and maintenance, ensured a continuous supply of hot water and actively coordinated with transport authorities to extend the operating hours of subways and buses, ensuring a smooth "last mile" for passengers.

The Guangzhou-Zhanjiang High-speed Railway is continuing its highway-railway intermodal transport promotional campaign, "High-Speed Rail to Bus, Seamless Travel to Western Guangdong." Passengers from six locations—Gaozhou, Xinyi, Huazhou, Lianjiang, Xuwen Port and Leizhou—who choose a combined high-speed rail and bus journey can enjoy a 20% discount (issued as a 20% fare refund) when purchasing tickets for designated bullet trains. Connecting bus tickets booked via the Cheying Network platform also offer discounts, with 20% of the bus ticket price refunded between September 25th and October 7th.

For groups of 10 or more, Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport has launched a "Group Concierge" service, providing full-process assistance upon reservation 24 hours in advance. The airport has also teamed up with border inspection, customs and other joint inspection units to promote paperless clearance and implement visa-free transit facilitation measures, making every effort to ensure convenient and smooth border clearance.

国庆出行，预计全省2.5亿人次跨区域流动

国庆假期出行迎来热潮。广东省交通运输厅9月30日发布数据，预计全省跨区域人员流动量2.5亿人次、日均约3600万人次，比2025年同期增长6.5%。

9月30日，国庆假期前一日，国铁广州局客流迎来出行小高峰，预计发送旅客266万人次。自9月30日起，客流将持续高位运行，预计10月1日迎来最高峰，发送旅客量达383.7万人次，同比增加33万人次，增幅9.4%。

深圳北站、深圳站、福田站、深圳东站等车站延长车站营业时间，加强夜间清洁维护、持续供应热水，并积极协调交通部门延长地铁、公交运营时间，保障旅客出行“最后一公里”。
