As the Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day holidays approach, Guangzhou has planned a series of public cultural activities, including "Reunion Under the Moon, Arts Across the Pearl River" and "Together to Celebrate the National Day," offering residents and visitors a diverse lineup of performances and exhibitions.

Since mid-September, the Guangzhou Cantonese Opera Troupe and the Guangzhou Red Bean Cantonese Opera Troupe, both affiliated with the Guangzhou Cantonese Opera Theater, have traveled to western Guangdong—including Wuchuan in Zhanjiang, Huazhou and Dianbai in Maoming—as well as Dongguan, Shenzhen and local communities in Guangzhou. They have staged more than 20 performances on rural stages, in community squares and at professional theaters.

From September 11th to October 4th, the two troupes under the Guangzhou Cantonese Opera Theater are presenting a number of classic Cantonese operas, including "Princess Cheung Ping", "Luoshen" (The Goddess of the Luo River) and "Nine Jewel Lotus." Plum Blossom Award winners such as Li Jiayi, Li Junsheng and Su Chunmei, together with a group of national first-class actors, are leading the performances. The troupes are also staging several major productions in Houjie, Dongguan, and communities in Bao'an, Shenzhen.

Back in Guangzhou, the troupes have scheduled Cantonese opera special performances at the Liede Village Hall on September 28th and 29th, the Jiangnan Grand Theater on October 6th and 7th, and the Shahe Cultural Square on October 9th, bringing Cantonese opera into the city's streets and neighborhoods and serving grassroots communities.

From October 2nd to 4th, the Guangdong Music and Folk Art Troupe will perform at the Pujian (Waterfall Lawn) Campground in the Baishuizhai Scenic Area in Zengcheng, presenting a themed gala, "Intangible Cultural Heritage Nourishes the Landscape." From October 6th to 7th, the troupe will appear at the "Art in the Greater Bay Area—Bai'etan Grand Stage Weekend Art Show" at the Bai'etan Greater Bay Area Art Center, bringing intangible cultural heritage programs such as Guangdong music, Cantonese opera songs and Cantonese crosstalk.

The Guangzhou Opera House will present several premium productions. From September 25th to 26th, the original immersive Chinese musical theater piece "Dialogue Between Ink and Silk-and-Bamboo Music 3: The Ao Fish" will be staged in the experimental theater, blending Chinese music, ink painting, floral art, Song dynasty tea ceremony and contemporary dance to recreate a contemporary gathering of literati. From September 30th to October 2nd, the Chinese version of the play "Inter Alia" will be performed, unfolding a contemporary narrative around family, identity and choice. On October 3rd, the Guangdong Puppet Art Theater will stage the puppet show "Crazy Taoyuan Tribe: The Hilarious Adventure", telling a new adventure story from the Greater Bay Chicken puppet universe.

双节来临广州有好戏：粤剧秋班正旺，粤语相声开讲

今年中秋、国庆双节之际，广州策划推出“月聚中秋 艺满珠江”“同心共筑迎华诞”系列惠民文艺活动，为市民游客献上形式丰富的演出与展览。

自9月中旬起，广州粤剧院旗下广州粤剧团、广州红豆粤剧团奔赴粤西湛江吴川，茂名化州、电白，以及东莞、深圳和广州本地社区，在乡间戏台、社区广场、专业剧场开展二十余场演出。

9月11日至10月4日，广州粤剧院旗下两院团先后带去《帝女花》《洛神》《九宝莲》等多部经典粤剧，李嘉宜、黎骏声、苏春梅等梅花奖得主与一众一级演员领衔登台；此外，院团还走进东莞厚街、深圳宝安社区上演多台大戏。

回到广州本地，院团于9月28日至29日在猎德村礼堂、10月6日至7日在江南大戏院、10月9日在沙河文化广场安排了粤剧专场，让粤剧艺术走进市井街巷，服务基层群众。

10月2日至4日，广东音乐曲艺团将落地增城白水寨景区瀑见草坪营地，上演“非遗润山水”主题晚会；10月6日至7日，亮相白鹅潭大湾区艺术中心“艺动湾区——白鹅潭大舞台周末艺术汇”，带来广东音乐、粤曲、粤语相声等非遗节目。

广州大剧院将奉上多部精品：9月25日至26日，原创沉浸式国乐剧场《水墨与丝竹的对话3：鳌鱼》亮相实验剧场，融合国乐、水墨创作、花艺、宋代点茶与当代舞，复刻当代文人雅集；9月30日至10月2日，话剧《非穷尽列举》中文版上演，围绕家庭、身份与选择展开当代叙事。10月3日，广东省木偶艺术剧院将上演木偶剧《疯狂桃源部落之爆笑大冒险》，演绎木鸡宇宙全新冒险故事。
