On September 24th, Shantou held the 2026 Token Going Global Innovation and Development Conference in the China (Shantou) Pilot Zone for Economic and Cultural Cooperation with Overseas Chinese, accelerating efforts to chart a new course for cross-border digital trade.

In late April this year, the Shantou Overseas Chinese Pilot Zone completed the full-chain commercial closed-loop verification for Token Going Global. In less than five months, average daily token usage surged from 100 million to 100 billion. At present, average daily token demand from overseas businesses registered in Shantou has exceeded 3 trillion.

At the conference, the international arms of China Mobile, China Telecom and China Unicom jointly activated the global resource pool for Token Going Global, marking Shantou's transition from single-point pilot projects to global, large-scale operations.

The International Zero-Carbon Computing Power Port was officially launched at the conference. Located in the core area of Shantou Liuhe Industrial Park, the project will cover about 413 mu in its first phase, with a planned IT capacity of 400 MW and a total investment of 120 billion yuan. It will build an integrated green computing power park combining source, grid, load and storage with computing power, electricity, cooling and carbon emissions, forming a complete value chain from green electricity to green computing power and green tokens.

Huawei Technologies and Guangdong TianYiMa Information Industry Co., Ltd. signed an agreement on cooperation in an Ascend 950DT computing cluster at the conference, making Shantou one of the first cities in China to deploy Huawei's latest Ascend 950DT chips.

According to briefings at the conference, the Ascend 950 SuperPoD organizes more than 1,000 computing cards to function as a single logical computer, helping improve the efficiency of large-scale model training and inference. Once the Ascend 950DT computing cluster is deployed, it will be able to connect more efficiently with local communications networks, dedicated cross-border channels, computing power scheduling platforms and application companies, turning energy and computing power into measurable, tradable and sustainably deliverable digital services.

The conference also saw the signing of a number of computing center construction and computing power cooperation projects. Among them, Shantou Mobile and the Shantou Overseas Chinese Pilot Zone signed an agreement to launch a domestic 10,000-card computing power pool project. The project will establish dedicated computing power zones for industrial and model applications, with the goal of creating the first 10,000-card-scale domestic intelligent computing cluster in eastern Guangdong and a leading benchmark for such clusters in China.

汕头开辟跨境数字贸易“新航道”

9月24日，汕头在汕头经济文化合作试验区举办2026词元出海创新发展大会，全速开辟跨境数字贸易“新航道”。

今年4月下旬，汕头华侨试验区跑通词元出海全链路商业闭环验证，不到5个月，日均词元调用量就从1亿飙升至1000亿。目前，在汕头登记的海外业务日均词元需求已超过3万亿。

会上，中国移动、中国电信、中国联通三大运营商国际公司联合点亮词元出海全球资源池，标志汕头词元出海从单点试点迈入全球化、规模化运营阶段。

国际零碳算力港在会上正式启动。该项目选址汕头六合产业园核心区，一期规划占地约413亩，规划IT总功率400MW，总投资1200亿元，打造“源网荷储—算电冷碳”一体化绿色算力园区，形成“绿电—绿算力—绿词元”完整价值链条。

华为科技与广东天亿马公司在大会现场完成950DT算力集群合作签约，汕头成为全国首批应用华为最新昇腾950DT芯片的城市之一。

据介绍，昇腾950超节点把上千张计算卡组织成逻辑上的“一台计算机”，有助于提升大规模模型训练和推理效率。昇腾950DT算力集群落地后，可与本地通信网络、跨境专用通道、算力调度平台和应用企业加快衔接，把能源和算力转化为可计量、可交易、可持续交付的数字服务。

大会还举行了算力中心建设项目、算力合作项目等集中签约。其中，汕头移动和华侨试验区签约落地“国产万卡池算力项目”，规划产业区、模型区算力专区，打造粤东首个、国内领先的国产万卡级智算集群标杆。
