"Amid the surging demand for AI computing power, many people focus on graphics processing units (GPUs) and large language models (LLMs) while overlooking printed circuit boards (PCBs)," Xiao Lu, head of the R&D department at Shengyi Electronics (SYE), told reporters, adding that in the AI computing power industry chain, PCBs actually serve as the foundation for harnessing computing power and as the main arteries of high-speed interconnection, playing an indispensable role.

The explosive growth of AI computing power is bringing sustained breakthroughs in business performance to this PCB manufacturer. In the first half of this year, SYE's operating revenue rose by more than 50% year-on-year, while its net profit doubled year-on-year. In Guangdong, a leading province in the electronic information industry, the PCB sector, known as "the mother of electronic products," is also gaining fresh momentum amid the AI computing power wave.

If the PCB industry were a tree, Guangdong would be the fertile soil where it has put down its deepest roots. In 2025, the global PCB industry recorded a total output value of approximately 613.094 billion yuan, while China accounted for 57.5% of the global market with an output value of 352.577 billion yuan. China has ranked first in global PCB output value for nearly 20 consecutive years, with 60% of its production capacity concentrated in Guangdong. According to China Printed Circuit Association (CPCA), Guangdong is home to approximately 51% of China's PCB manufacturers. Dongguan, in particular, has become one of the major hubs of China's PCB industry. In 2025, the city's PCB output value reached 55.911 billion yuan, accounting for approximately 15.9% of the national total. In the first quarter of 2026, its output value reached 15.599 billion yuan, up 37.4% year-on-year and leading the country in growth.

"PCB manufacturers in Guangdong account for over 50% of the national total," Xiao said. Today, this industrial chain in Guangdong has leading players at almost every link and supporting suppliers available throughout the region. Shengyi Technology, an upstream supplier, is the world's second-largest manufacturer of rigid copper-clad laminates. In the PCB drill bit sector, DTECH has established itself as an industry leader. Equipment manufacturers, chemical suppliers, solder paste producers, and other supporting businesses are also concentrated in the region.

从一张板到一条链，广东PCB企业如何接住AI算力浪潮？

“在AI算力需求爆发的背景下，很多人目光聚焦GPU、大模型，却容易忽略PCB。”生益电子研发部门负责人肖璐告诉记者，在AI算力产业链中，PCB其实相当于算力释放的底层基石与高速互联的大动脉，承担着不可替换的关键角色。

AI算力的爆发式增长，正为这家PCB企业带来业绩的持续突破。今年上半年，生益电子实现营业收入同比增长超五成，净利润更同比翻番。在电子信息产业大省广东，有着“电子产品之母”之称的PCB产业也在AI算力浪潮之下迸发出新的发展活力。

如果把PCB产业比作一棵大树，广东便是它扎根最深的那片沃土。2025年，全球PCB总产值约6130.94亿元，中国以3525.77亿元的产值占据了全球57.5%的份额，中国PCB产值已连续近20年居全球首位，其中六成产能就在广东。据中国电子电路行业协会统计，广东PCB厂商数量约占全国的51%。其中，东莞已成为国内PCB产业重要承载地之一，2025年全市PCB产业产值达559.11亿元，占全国约15.9%；2026年一季度产值155.99亿元，同比大涨37.4%，增速领跑全国。

“广东的PCB厂商占了全国的50%以上。”肖璐说，如今，这条产业链在广东几乎环环有龙头、处处能配套。上游的生益科技是全球第二大刚性覆铜板厂商；钻针领域，鼎泰高科做到行业顶尖；设备、药水、锡膏等配套企业同样齐聚于此。
