City Life | On September 19, the 20th Asian Games Aichi-Nagoya 2026 will get underway in Nagoya, Japan, launching 16 days of sporting competition across Asia. Looking back at the history of the Asian Games, the inaugural edition was held in 1951, marking the beginning of a new chapter in Asian sports. The 1990 Asian Games in Beijing marked China’s first time hosting a major international multi-sport event. From Beijing 1990 to Guangzhou 2010 and Hangzhou 2023, China has hosted the Asian Games three times. 回望亚运会历史，1951年，首届亚运会拉开帷幕，亚洲体育的故事就此开篇。1990年北京亚运会，则是中国第一次承办大型综合性国际赛事。从1990北京、2010广州，再到2023杭州，中国三度精彩承办亚运盛会，《亚洲雄风》的旋律久久回荡，中国体育也一步步站到世界舞台的中心。
