According to statistics from the Guangdong Sub-administration of the General Administration of Customs of the People's Republic of China (GACC), Guangdong's foreign trade imports and exports reached 7.54 trillion yuan in the first eight months of this year, up 21.7% year on year. The figure accounted for 21.7% of China's total imports and exports, up 0.7 percentage points from the same period last year, keeping Guangdong in first place nationwide by foreign trade volume. Exports totaled 4.42 trillion yuan, up 11.6%, while imports reached 3.12 trillion yuan, up 39.5%. The trade surplus stood at 1.3 trillion yuan, narrowing by 24.6%.

In August, Guangdong's foreign trade remained at a high level of 1 trillion yuan, with growth accelerating. In August alone, Guangdong's imports and exports reached 1.05 trillion yuan, up 29.7%, marking the third consecutive month that the monthly trade figures remained above 1 trillion yuan, with the growth rate up 10.7 percentage points from July. Exports reached 617.95 billion yuan, up 16.7%, or 9.7 percentage points higher than in July; imports reached 428.09 billion yuan, up 54.5%, 13.8 percentage points higher than in July.

Trade with all major trading partners increased, withtrade with Hong Kong and South Korea growing by more than 40%. In the first eight months, ASEAN, Hong Kong, the European Union, the United States, and Chinese Taiwan were Guangdong's five largest trading partners. Trade with them reached 1.18 trillion yuan, 1.15 trillion yuan, 781.67 billion yuan, 685.27 billion yuan, and 623.14 billion yuan, respectively.

The share of high-value-added product exports increased, and the export structure is moving toward new, green, and smart development. In the first eight months, Guangdong exported 3.11 trillion yuan of mechanical and electrical products, up 15.7%, with their share of Guangdong's total exports rising by 2.5 percentage points to 70.5%. Among them,exports of integrated circuits reached 370.49 billion yuan, up 57.1%; electrical equipment reached 356.79 billion yuan, up 24.7%; and computers and their components reached 346.37 billion yuan, up 20.5%.

广东外贸连续3个月超万亿元

据海关广东分署统计，今年前8个月，广东外贸进出口7.54万亿元，比去年同期（下同）增长21.7%，占全国进出口总值的21.7%，较去年同期提升0.7个百分点，规模继续保持全国第一。其中，出口4.42万亿元，增长11.6%；进口3.12万亿元，增长39.5%；贸易顺差1.3万亿元，收窄24.6%。

8月进出口规模保持万亿元高位，增速加快。单8月，广东进出口1.05万亿元，增长29.7%，月度规模连续3个月保持万亿元高位运行，增速较7月提升10.7个百分点。其中，出口6179.5亿元，增长16.7%，较7月提升9.7个百分点；进口4280.9亿元，增长54.5%，提升13.8个百分点。

对主要贸易伙伴均实现增长，其中中国香港、韩国增长超四成。前8个月，东盟、中国香港、欧盟、美国、中国台湾为广东前5大贸易伙伴，对其分别进出口1.18万亿、1.15万亿、7816.7亿、6852.7亿、6231.4亿元。

高附加值产品出口比重提升，出口结构向新向绿向智发展。前8个月，广东出口机电产品3.11万亿元，增长15.7%，占广东出口总值的比重提升2.5个百分点至70.5%。其中，集成电路出口3704.9亿元，增长57.1%；电工器材3567.9亿元，增长24.7%；电脑及其零部件3463.7亿元，增长20.5%。
