City Life｜Walk through the streets and alleys of Jieyang Ancient City, and ceramic sculptures appear at every turn. Shaped from clay and fired in the kiln, these works reflect Jieyang’s millennia-old ceramic tradition and have become an integral part of the ancient city’s distinctive character and cultural identity. Here, earth and fire meet, carrying generations of craftsmanship through time. From the raw clay body to layers of colorful glaze, each piece reflects the skill, patience and artistry behind Jieyang’s ceramic sculpture tradition. In 2013, Jieyang ceramic sculpture craftsmanship was inscribed on the Guangdong Provincial Intangible Cultural Heritage List. Today, the tradition is being revitalized through the preservation and renewal of the ancient city, giving this time-honored craft new life while keeping its story alive for a new generation.#citylife

行走在揭阳古城的街巷，陶塑身影随处可见。这些由泥土与窑火淬炼而成的陶塑，承载着揭阳数千年的制陶史，也塑造着古城独特的地域风貌与人文气质。火交融间，匠心与岁月对话，一方水土的魂魄在素胎与釉彩间凝铸成永恒。2013年，揭阳陶塑制作技艺被列入广东省非物质文化遗产名录。当下，这门古老技艺正于古城保育活化中焕发新的光彩，续写着泥与火的新篇章。
