On August 27th, train horns blared at the Guangzhou International Port. A "Sui-Man-E" (Guangzhou-Manzhouli-Russia) China-Europe freight train, fully loaded with small home appliances and other goods, was ready to depart for Europe via the Manzhouli port. This speeding train is a vivid testament to the high-quality development of Guangzhou's China-Europe freight trains over the past decade.

Going back ten years to August 28th, 2016, the first "Sui-Man-E" China-Europe freight train departed from the Dalang freight yard in Guangzhou's Baiyun District, marking the beginning of Guangzhou's China-Europe freight trains traversing the Eurasian continent. According to customs statistics, the cargo value of import and export freight trains handled by Guangzhou ports over the past 10 years has exceeded 110 billion yuan.

Over the past decade of dedicated development, Guangzhou's China-Europe freight trains have transitioned from their initial steps to see significant improvements in both volume and quality. Evolving from a single export route, a single port of exit and a single cargo structure in the early days of operation, they have now built a multi-directional network. This network relies on the synergistic efforts of three domestic transport corridors—the Western, Central and Eastern corridors—and seven ports: Manzhouli, Erenhot, Alashankou, Horgos, Suifenhe, Pingxiang and Mohan. Within the Guangzhou Customs District, two China-Europe freight train stations, the Guangzhou International Port and the Nansha Port South Railway Station, jointly operate 24 routes (17 outbound and 7 inbound), serving over 40 cities in more than 20 countries across Eurasia. These "steel camel caravans" have built a land-based "golden bridge" of connectivity and mutual benefit.

"At present, the China-Europe freight trains at the Guangzhou International Port have taken shape with a layout featuring 'multi-directional extension and land-sea interconnection.' They serve over 5,000 foreign trade enterprises, covering numerous industries such as home appliances, electronics, machinery, textiles and new energy," said Cheng Jie, chief of the supervision section at the Guangzhou Railway Station Customs.

广州口岸十年进出口班列货值超1100亿元

8月27日，广州国际港汽笛长鸣。一列满载小家电等货物的“穗满俄”中欧班列整装待发，将经由满洲里口岸驶向欧洲。这趟疾驰的班列，正是广州中欧班列十年高质量发展的生动缩影。

时光回溯至十年前。2016年8月28日，首趟“穗满俄”中欧班列从广州白云区大朗堆场启程，自此拉开广州中欧班列驰骋亚欧大陆的帷幕。据海关统计，十年间，广州口岸进出口班列货值超1100亿元人民币。

十年深耕，广州中欧班列从蹒跚起步迈向量质齐升。从开行初期单一出口线路、单一出境口岸、单一货源结构，到如今构建起国内西、中、东“三通道”，满洲里、二连浩特、阿拉山口、霍尔果斯、绥芬河、凭祥、磨憨“七口岸”协同发力的多向通达格局。广州海关关区内广州国际港与南沙港南站两个中欧班列站点共同形成“17出7进”共24条运行线路，服务辐射欧亚地区20多个国家、40余座城市，“钢铁驼队”架起互联互通、互利共赢的陆上“黄金桥”。

“目前，广州国际港中欧班列已初步形成‘多向延伸、海陆互联’的布局，服务外贸企业超5000家，覆盖家电、电子、机械、纺织、新能源等众多产业。”广州车站海关监管科科长程洁表示。
