The 2026 Southern China Book Fair is now open! Known as the publishing industry’s Canton Fair, the event will last until August 31.

Held under the theme "APEC and the Future of Inclusive Development,"the 13th International Conference of the Institute for Public Policy (IPP) of South China University of Technology(SCUT) took place on Aug. 23, 2026, on the university's Wushan Campus in Guangzhou.

The 28th Pet Fair Asia, which recently concluded in Shanghai, attracted over 2,600 domestic and overseas exhibitors, reaching a record-breaking scale. Many international buyers visited the fair to explore Chinese smart pet products, highlighting how these domestic innovations are unlocking vast overseas markets.

From the Maritime Pearl Road two thousand years ago, to the heyday of the Thirteen Hongs, and then to the rapid growth following China's reform and opening-up, Guangdong has remained at the forefront of China's engagement with the world.
