The 2026 Southern China Book Fair is now open! Known as the publishing industry’s Canton Fair, the event will last until August 31.

As China hosts APEC this year, the book fair boasts enhanced international presence. It hosts international pavilions with participants from over 30 countries and regions. Around 20 overseas writers and Guangzhou-based diplomatic representatives attend the event, showcasing nearly 30,000 original foreign books for visitors to explore global classics in one place.

The Thailand Pavilion and APEC Culture Pavilion are major highlights. The film Dear You, with over 2 billion yuan in box office sales, is set in Thailand. The Thailand Pavilion displays 50+ overseas Chinese culture books and exclusive film props, a must-visit for movie fans!

The APEC Culture Pavilion offers viewing, interactive experiences and cultural markets. Its five themed exhibitions feature more than 300 classic books from across the world.
