The 32nd Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) Ministerial Meeting and a series of supporting activities will take place in Guangzhou, Guangdong Province, from August 31st to September 6th. On August 24th, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology(MIIT) held a press briefing to introduce relevant details.

Ke Jixin, Vice Minister of Industry and Information Technology, announced that the 32nd APEC SME Ministerial Meeting will be held on September 4th in Guangzhou, Guangdong Province. SME officials from APEC economies, representatives of the APEC Secretariat, and other guests will attend the meeting. Under the theme of "innovation-driven development for win-win cooperation," participating parties will engage in in-depth exchanges on established topics, share policy measures and practical experiences, and jointly explore cooperation pathways to promote the development of Asia-Pacific SMEs. A series of supporting activities will also be held during the event.

Guangdong is currently home to nearly 8.7 million SMEs, accounting for approximately one-seventh of China's total. Among them, over 2,700 are national-level "little giant" enterprises specializing in niche markets with high innovation capacity, over 30,000 are provincial-level specialized and sophisticated SMEs, and over 40,000 are innovative SMEs. Furthermore, six cities—Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Foshan, Dongguan, Zhongshan, and Jiangmen—have been selected as national pilot cities for SME digital transformation, collectively driving digital upgrades across more than 50,000 industrial enterprises above designated size.

At present, preparations for the meeting are largely complete. Ke Jixin noted that they looked forward to using the event to inject new momentum into the development of Asia-Pacific SMEs and make active contributions toward an Asia-Pacific community and shared prosperity.

第32次亚太经合组织（APEC）中小企业部长会议及系列配套活动将于8月31日至9月6日在广东省广州市举行。8月24日，工业和信息化部举行新闻通气会，介绍有关情况。

工业和信息化部副部长柯吉欣介绍，第32次APEC中小企业部长会议将于9月4日在广东省广州市举行。APEC各经济体中小企业主管部门负责人、APEC秘书处代表及有关嘉宾将出席会议。本次会议以“创新驱动 合作共赢”为主题，各方将围绕设定议题深入交流，分享政策举措和实践经验，共同探讨促进亚太中小企业发展的合作路径。会议期间还将举办系列配套会议和活动。

当前，广东已有近870万家中小企业，约占全国的七分之一。其中，国家专精特新“小巨人”企业超2700家，省级专精特新中小企业超3万家，创新型中小企业超4万家；广州、深圳、佛山、东莞、中山、江门6个市入选国家中小企业数字化转型试点城市，累计推动超5万家规上工业企业实施了数字化改造。

目前，会议各项准备工作已经基本就绪。“我们期待通过本次会议，为亚太中小企业发展注入新的动力，也为建设亚太共同体、促进共同繁荣作出积极贡献。”柯吉欣说。
