The 2026 Southern China Book Fair will take place from August 27th to 31st under the theme "Scholarly Lingnan, Learn to Reach Far," with a focus on promoting reading for all and fostering a book-loving society.

This year, Guangzhou will extend the book fair beyond the Pazhou Complex into the city's shopping districts and streets, teaming up with 22 local bookstores to set up offline sub-venues, while also rolling out a "Digital Reading" cloud venue to weave a citywide reading network. Among them, the Guangzhou Book Center, the largest branch venue, will launch a check-in campaign on Amap titled "City Reading Map," where citizens can receive a commemorative gift simply by leaving an online review.

During the event, many well-known authors and cultural figures will gather in Guangzhou. Writers including Cai Chongda, Wang Daxin, Liu Shen LeiLei, Hu Anyan, and Yang Hongying will host new book launches and themed sharing sessions at the Guangzhou Book Center. Other notable figures, including Rong Liulang and "Uncle Tank," will visit physical bookstores in districts such as Yuexiu, Nansha, and Panyu to host reading events covering a wide range of genres, including literature, classics, and children's books.

To benefit readers, from August 27th to 31st, stores under Guangzhou Xinhua Distribution will offer a 15% discount on books, audiovisual products, and cultural and creative goods sold in-house. Also, the Guangzhou Book Center will leverage Tianhe District's "ticket stub economy" to connect reading with a variety of shopping and dining experiences. Readers who present a ticket stub at the store can enjoy 15% off books, audiovisual products, and in-house items, as well as 20% off coffee and sweet soups.

南国书香节广州分会场多点开花

2026南国书香节将于8月27日至31日举办，以“书香岭南 学以致远”为主题，聚力推进全民阅读与书香社会建设。

今年南国书香节，广州将书香盛会从琶洲展馆延伸至城市商圈街巷，联动全市22家实体书店设立线下分会场，并同步打造“数悦读”云会场，织就覆盖全城的阅读网络。其中，广州购书中心作为规模最大的分会场，将推出高德“城市书香地图”打卡活动，市民线上评价即可获赠纪念礼。

活动期间，众多名家齐聚羊城。蔡崇达、王大欣、六神磊磊、胡安焉、杨红樱等作家将在广州购书中心举办新书发布与主题分享；荣六郎、坦克叔叔等名家也将走进越秀、南沙、番禺等区实体书店，开展覆盖文学、古典、少儿等多元题材的阅读活动。

为惠及读者，8月27日至31日，广州新华发行旗下门店自营图书、音像及文创实行85折优惠。此外，广州购书中心借力天河区票根经济，串联阅读与多元消费场景。读者凭票根到店，可享图书、音像及自营产品8.5折，咖啡、糖水8折优惠。
