On Aug 19th, the 2026 World Robot Conference (WRC) kicked off in Beijing. A review of the exhibitor list shows that 34 Guangdong companies are among the country's first-tier participants. Covering AI algorithms and digital twins, 3D vision, tactile sensing and precision lead screws and other core components, as well as complete humanoid robots, embodied intelligence platforms and applications in industry, warehousing and specialized operations, Guangdong has presented a complete supply chain covering upstream components, midstream robot systems and downstream applications.
The distribution of Guangdong companies across the exhibition halls at this year's WRC clearly demonstrates this industrial foundation. In Hall C, Guangdong companies are concentrated in core robotic components, covering areas such as power batteries, 3D vision, edge computing, 5G communications, flexible grippers and safety sensors. Hall D further extends into specialized fields such as planetary roller screws, servo power units, precision motors and legged robots.

Guangdong's vast manufacturing system provides robots with a rich "testing ground." Some companies have already begun moving from technology demonstrations toward commercialization. Astribot, for example, has expanded its products into fields including scientific research, commercial services, entertainment performances and industry, while developing cooperation with overseas embodied intelligence companies around data and models.
Guangdong's future goal is to cultivate a number of platform companies capable of defining product roadmaps, mastering core technologies, and connecting global supply chains with application markets. From AI algorithms to 3D vision, from power batteries to servo motors, from dexterous hands and tactile sensors to planetary roller screws, and from complete humanoid robots to manufacturing applications, Guangdong is integrating its capabilities accumulated over the past several decades in electronic information, advanced manufacturing and industrial supply chains into the robotics industry.
