They purchase core components for humanoid robots. These parts are disassembled, sorted, stuffed into suitcases and brought back to the United States by the buyers aboard commercial flights.

As reported by The Information, U.S.-based AI labs and robotics start‑ups have long been purchasing humanoid robots and their components from Chinese firms such as Unitree and AgiBot. The reason is straightforward: the United States lacks a complete supply chain for humanoid robots, while Chinese enterprises hold approximately 63 percent of the global market share.
