From July 17th to 20th, the 2026 World Artificial Intelligence Conference (WAIC) and High-Level Meeting on Global AI Governance will open across three venues and four exhibition halls in Shanghai's Expo area, Zhangjiang, and West Bund. This year's total exhibition space exceeds 100,000 square meters for the first time, with over 1,100 enterprises participating and more than 3,000 exhibits on display, including more than 300 products making their global debut. Over 140 themed forums are set to gather more than 1,400 international guests.

In key areas such as foundational chips, computing clusters, large language models (LLMs), and complete robotic systems, heavyweight players from the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA) will take the stage. At the computing power exhibition area, Huawei will showcase its latest 1,024‑card supernode cluster, the Atlas 950 SuperCluster, with a total computing scale exceeding 500,000 cards, marking the first physical showcase of the industry's largest‑scale supernode. Meanwhile, Tencent will compete alongside Alibaba, Baidu, and SenseTime in a concentrated display of their latest LLM and AI agent applications.

In the front rank of humanoid robotics, Shenzhen‑based UBTECH and Leju Robot are among those featured. The much‑watched topic of "robots entering the workforce," considered a key highlight of the conference, is precisely one of the areas where the GBA continues to intensify its efforts.

According to the AIR Pearl River Index Report (2025), Guangdong ranks first nationwide in the comprehensive strength of its AI and robotics industry, securing the top spot in all four core indicators: enterprise competitiveness, growth potential, industry applications, and industrial connectivity. From January to October 2025, Guangdong's core AI industry scale exceeded 230 billion yuan. The output of both industrial robots and service robots firmly leads the country, and Guangdong has preliminarily built a full‑industry‑chain ecosystem for humanoid robots, covering AI "brains", sensory systems and robotic limbs.

世界AI大会开幕在即，广东AI军团集结上海

7月17日至20日，2026世界人工智能大会暨人工智能全球治理高级别会议（WAIC）将在上海世博、张江、西岸“三地四馆”启幕。本次展览总面积首次突破10万平方米，1100余家企业参展，3000余项展品集中亮相，其中300余款产品将全球首发，140余场主题论坛将集聚1400余位国际嘉宾。

本次会议上，在底层芯片、算力集群、大模型、机器人整机等关键环节，粤港澳大湾区都有重量级企业出场。在算力展区，华为将展出最新1024卡超节点集群Atlas 950 SuperCluster，算力规模超50万卡，是业界最大规模超节点的真机首秀。而腾讯将与阿里、百度、商汤等企业同台竞技，集中展示最新大模型和智能体应用。

人形机器人第一方阵中，深圳的优必选、乐聚等悉数在列。被视作本次大会的重点之一的“机器人上岗”话题，正是大湾区持续发力的方向之一。

《AIR珠江指数报告（2025）》显示，广东人工智能与机器人产业综合排名稳居全国首位，企业实力、发展潜力、行业应用、产业链接四项核心指标均列全国第一。2025年1-10月，广东人工智能核心产业规模超2300亿元。工业机器人、服务机器人产量规模均稳居全国第一，全省已初步形成涵盖大脑、五官、肢体的人形机器人全产业链生态。
