Haiyan Town in Taishan City, Jiangmen, which has a 20-year history of lucky bamboo cultivation, production and export processing, is enjoying a strong year. Reporters learned from Jiangmen Customs on July 6th that in the first six months of this year, Taishan Customs, under Jiangmen Customs, supervised the export of 1.309 million lucky bamboo stalks from Haiyan, up 22% year on year.

At a lucky bamboo processing base in Haiyan Town, batches of spiral lucky bamboo were ready to be shipped overseas after undergoing quarantine inspections by Taishan Customs officers. Haiyan Town is widely known as a town with a specialized lucky bamboo industry, with its products exported to international markets including the Netherlands and the United States.

Since the beginning of this year, international animal and plant quarantine standards have been updated frequently, while market access requirements have continued to rise, posing a major challenge for enterprises. The animal and plant quarantine department of Jiangmen Customs and Taishan Customs formed an expert team to carefully review more than 10 newly revised EU phytosanitary regulations and requirements. They also held policy briefing sessions for enterprises in need, reminding them of key points such as the format of fumigation certificates and online certificate applications, helping drive steady growth in lucky bamboo exports within the jurisdiction of Taishan Customs.

Reportedly, all lucky bamboo enterprises within the jurisdiction of Taishan Customs that hold a Registration Certificate for Producers and Exporters of Seedlings and Ornamental Plants have achieved a record of zero returned shipments for nearly 10 years.

江门台山富贵竹海外“掘金”

拥有20年富贵竹生产种植和出口加工历史的江门台山市海宴镇，今年迎来好年景。记者7月6日从江门海关获悉，今年前6个月江门海关所属台山海关监管出口海宴富贵竹130.9万株，同比增长22%。

在海宴镇的富贵竹加工基地，一批批“富贵弯竹”经过台山海关关员的检疫后，整装待发远赴海外。海宴镇是远近闻名的“富贵竹特色专业镇”，相关产品远销荷兰、美国等国际市场。

今年以来，国际动植物检疫标准更新频繁，准入门槛不断提升，成为企业最头疼的“拦路虎”。江门海关动植检职能部门与台山海关组建专家团队，详细梳理了十余份最新修订的欧盟植物检疫法规及要求，并针对有相关需求的企业开展政策宣讲会，提醒熏蒸证书的格式、线上申请证书等注意事项内容，助力台山海关辖区富贵竹出口量稳步上升。

据了解，台山海关辖区内具有出境种苗花卉生产经营企业注册登记证书的富贵竹企业，均实现了近10年出口零退货的成绩。
