Art and Culture | Since the May Day holiday, the Chaoshan-dialect film Dear You has been winning strong audience praise in cinemas. The touching story has also sparked renewed public interest in the Qiaopi archives—collections of overseas Chinese letters and remittance records inscribed on UNESCO’s Memory of the World Register. In recent days, increasing numbers of residents and visitors have been heading to Shantou Qiaopi Museum to learn about the stories behind these historic documents and explore the overseas Chinese history and cultural heritage they preserve. #artandculture
