From May 8th to 17th, the 2026 International Youth Poetry Festival's Special Session for Arab Countries will be held in Guangdong and Beijing. The festival is designed to align with the China–Arab States Summit and aims to deepen people-to-people exchanges and foster friendship among young people from China and Arab countries.

Founded by the China Writers Association in 2024, the International Youth Poetry Festival is an international literary exchange initiative. It has successfully hosted Special Sessions for BRICS countries and for Latin American countries, effectively promoting dialogue among young writers and advancing mutual learning among civilizations, while gradually building a widely influential platform for literary exchanges.

More than 100 young Chinese poets will gather with their counterparts and sinologists from 14 Arab countries, including the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Palestine, Egypt and Morocco, for a series of literary seminars, creative exchanges and cultural visits.

The events include the opening ceremony of the 2026 International Youth Poetry Festival titled "Poetry Shared Across Distance", a literature fair named "Guangdong Goods Go Global, Poetry Rhymes Bridge China and Arabia", an academic dialogue on "The Tradition and Future of Poetry", a performance and recitation event "When Cantonese Opera Meets Poetry", as well as "Echoes of Youth" Poetry Day at Sun Yat-sen University andthe Guangdong University of Foreign Studies. Additional highlights include a series of events such as"the Pearl River Poetry Conference,""the Great Wall Poetry Conference," and "Verse Echoes Far, Youth Unites the Moment" at Beijing Normal University and a poetry symposium at the National Museum of Modern Chinese Literature.

2026国际青春诗会（中国-阿拉伯国家专场）首站落户广东

5月8日至17日，2026国际青春诗会（中国-阿拉伯国家专场）将在广东、北京两地举办。本届中阿专场旨在配合中国-阿拉伯国家峰会，深化中阿人文交流与青年友谊。

国际青春诗会，是中国作家协会于2024年创立的国际文学交流品牌活动，已先后成功举办金砖国家专场、中国-拉美国家专场，有效促进了国际青年文学对话与文明互鉴，逐步构建起具有广泛影响力的文学交流平台。

来自阿联酋、沙特、叙利亚、巴勒斯坦、埃及、摩洛哥等14个国家的青年诗人及汉学家，中国青年诗人100多人将齐聚一堂，开展系列文学研讨、创作交流和文化参访活动。

其中，包括“天涯共此诗”2026国际青春诗会开幕式、“广货天下行，诗韵映中阿”文学集市、“诗歌的传统与未来”学术对话、“当粤剧遇见诗歌”表演朗诵会、“青春的回响”高校诗歌日（中山大学/广东外语外贸大学）、“珠江诗会”、“长城诗会”、“诗韵传千里，青春共此时”走进北京师范大学、中国现代文学馆诗歌座谈会等活动。
