On April 22nd, the 2026 Fair of AI and Robotics, plus (FAIR plus) officially kicked off at the Shenzhen Convention & Exhibition Center(SZCEC). The event brought together over 500 companies across the entire robotics industry chain, showcasing the latest industrialization achievements in industrial robots, humanoid robots, service robots, embodied artificial intelligence(EAI), and core components. The "2025 Shenzhen Robot Industry Development White Paper" was also released at the event, revealing that the city's robotics industry output value surpassed 240 billion yuan in 2025, ranking first nationwide in terms of production share for both industrial and service robots.

Regarding production volume, the white paper states that in 2025, Shenzhen produced 194,900 industrial robots, representing a year-on-year increase of 43.1% and accounting for 25.2% of the national total. Service robot production stood at 7,966,500 units, making up 42.9% of China's total. These two core indicators, industrial robot and service robot production, both ranked first in China. In terms of innovation, the city now boasts 4,676 companies holding robot-related patents, an increase of 19.44% year on year. This indicates that Shenzhen's robotics industry has shifted from a phase of rapid expansion to a stage of innovation-driven, high-quality development.

Bi Yalei, Director of the Industrial Development Center of the Shenzhen Institutes of Advanced Technology(SIAT) of the Chinese Academy of Sciences(CAS), and Executive Vice President and Secretary-General of the Shenzhen Robotics Association (SRA), stated that the global robotics industry landscape has not yet fully taken shape. Countries around the world are accelerating their technology deployment and intensifying industrial competition. With its vast industrial output, well-established industrial ecosystem, rapid iteration capabilities, and strong advantages in practical application, Shenzhen has secured a leading position in global industrial competition.
