From April 21st to 26th, 16 journalists from countries including Thailand, Indonesia, the Philippines, Vietnam, Malaysia, Chile, Mexico and Peru visited Zhuhai, Shenzhen and Guangzhou to take part in an APEC-themed tour. On April 21st, the journalists visited AVIC General Huanan Aircraft Industry Co., Ltd., Zhuhai Aerospace Land and Gree Electric Appliances in succession, to experience firsthand China's latest advances in high-end manufacturing, aerospace and household appliances.

"I believe cooperation in the aviation sector is one area Indonesia and China need to focus on," said Luki Aulia. She noted that bilateral cooperation should not be limited to macroeconomic or trade fields, but extended to more practical fields such as aircraft procurement. "Indonesia is a vast country with frequent natural disasters, and we are in great need of this kind of emergency rescue aircraft." Kerdplanant Kanokwan, international news editor of the Bangkok Post, tasted steamed rice made with a Gree household grain thresher and rice cooker. She told Yangcheng Evening News that "besides being a journalist, I am also a housewife", and Gree's household appliances impressed her with many innovative technologies.

All journalists joining the APEC-themed tour are from APEC member economies. Kanokwan said this year has been "a turbulent year", with multiple factors from the trade war to the Iran war affecting the global economy. Regarding the upcoming APEC meeting in Shenzhen, she said, "I expect China to speak up for safeguarding world peace and order, and inject stability into the economic order."

外媒记者盛赞广东制造，期待深圳APEC为和平秩序和贸易自由发声

4月21日至26日，来自泰国、印尼、菲律宾、越南、马来西亚、智利、墨西哥、秘鲁等国家的16名外媒记者到访珠海、深圳和广州，参加APEC主题参访活动。21日，记者们先后走进中航通飞华南飞机工业有限公司、珠海太空中心以及格力电器，实地感受中国在高端制造、航空航天和家用电器领域的最新发展成果。

“我认为航空领域的合作是印尼和中国需要关注的。”卢基·奥莉亚（Luki Aulia）表示，两国合作不应仅仅停留在宏观经济或贸易层面，而应拓展到更务实的领域，例如飞机采购。“印尼是一个地域辽阔的国家，也是多自然灾害的国家，我们很需要这类应急救援飞机。”《曼谷邮报》国际新闻主编卡诺婉·葛帕拉南（Kerdplanant Kanokwan）品尝了用格力脱谷机和电饭锅制作的蒸米饭，她告诉羊城晚报记者，“我除了是一名记者，也是一名家庭主妇”，格力的家电产品让她看到很多创新技术。

本次参加APEC主题参访活动的记者们都来自APEC成员经济体。卡诺婉·葛帕拉南表示，今年是“不太平的一年”，从贸易战到伊朗战争，诸多因素正在影响全球经济。对于即将在深圳举办的APEC会议，她说，“我期待中国为维护世界和平秩序发声，同时为经济秩序注入稳定力量。
