"In the first quarter of this year, the share of RMB settlement in both outbound investment by Guangdong enterprises and inbound investment into Guangdong exceeded 70%, which means more and more enterprises prioritize RMB for cross-boundary investment and financing," said Wu Hui, Director of the Foreign Exchange Comprehensive Department at the Guangdong Provincial Branch of the People's Bank of China, at a press conference on Guangdong's financial performance in the first quarter of 2026 held on April 23rd.

In the first quarter of 2026, the volume of cross-boundary RMB settlement in Guangdong increased by 12% year on year, and RMB accounted for more than 55% of the province's total local and foreign currency receipts and payments. Specifically, the proportion of RMB settlement in outbound investment by Guangdong enterprises and inbound investment into Guangdong both stood above 70%.

Since the start of this year, Guangdong's aggregate social financing has grown steadily. The balances of deposits and loans have exceeded 40 trillion yuan and 30 trillion yuan respectively, and the province's total financial volume continues to rank first in China. Among them, manufacturing loans have achieved rapid growth. At the end of the first quarter, the outstanding loan balance to manufacturing enterprises reached 4 trillion yuan, rising 13.7% year on year. The growth rate accelerated significantly from the same period last year, effectively meeting the funding needs of the major strategy to prioritize the manufacturing industry.

Guangdong has a large number of private micro, small and medium-sized enterprises that account for a significant share of the local economy, and the re-lending policy for private enterprises provides substantial benefits. By the end of the first quarter, Guangdong had issued a total of 64.5 billion yuan in re-lending funds to private enterprises, ranking among the top in China and covering all 21 prefecture-level cities in the province.

广东：越来越多的企业在跨境投融资时首选人民币

“今年一季度，广东企业对外投资及外商来粤投资资金结算中，人民币使用占比均达70%以上，这说明越来越多的企业在跨境投融资时首选人民币。”4月23日，2026年一季度广东省金融运行形势新闻发布会上，人民银行广东省分行外汇综合处处长伍辉介绍。

今年一季度，广东省跨境人民币结算量同比增长12%，人民币在本外币收付总量中占比超过55%。其中，广东企业对外投资及外商来粤投资资金结算中，人民币使用占比均达70%以上。

今年以来，广东社会融资规模稳步扩大，存、贷款余额分别突破40万亿元、30万亿元，金融总量继续稳居全国第一。其中，制造业贷款跑出了“加速度”。一季度末，制造业单位贷款余额4万亿元、同比增长13.7%，增速较上年同期明显加快，有力地满足了“制造业当家”重大战略的资金需求。

广东民营中小微企业众多，经济占比高，民营企业再贷款政策含金量十足。截至一季度末，广东累计投放民营企业再贷款645亿元，投放量居全国前列，对21个地市实现全覆盖。
