In the CF Award Exhibition Hall of the 139th China Import and Export Fair (Canton Fair), a small desktop lamp standing only 23 centimeters tall caught the attention of buyers from all over the world.

The product, officially named the Low-Level Lighting Desk Lamp, is from Foshan Electrical and Lighting Co., Ltd. Its design breaks conventional lighting logic: the light source sits below eye level, and the light is reflected twice before diffusing upward. Since the light source itself is never directly visible, the lamp produces no glare whatsoever. This design concept distinguishes it from many rechargeable desk lamps on the market that emphasize portability or ambiance. In the 2023 Canton Fair Design Award, this unassuming desktop lamp stood out from numerous entries, winning the Best of the Best Award.

Looking back to 2014, the Canton Fair Export Product Design Award, the predecessor of today's CF Award, was just getting started. That year, 55 products from 44 companies won awards, with Guangdong becoming the province with the highest number of awards—11 companies and 12 awards in total. This was seen as a head start for Guangdong products in the field of design innovation.

The recently concluded 2025 CF Awards saw the fiercest competition in their history: 1,400 companies and 3,210 products vied for recognition, yet only 167 won—just a 5.2% success rate. Guangdong still stood out with a stellar performance: 55 winning products, accounting for 32.9% of the total, and the trading delegation of Guangdong won the "Best Organizer Award." These figures all point to a striking trend in Guangdong: at the Canton Fair, China's most important window for foreign trade, Guangdong design and manufacturing are capturing the attention of global buyers with an extraordinary concentration of innovation.

广货“至尊”进阶路：从广交会CF奖看广东设计的全球跃迁

在第139届广交会设计创新奖（CF奖）展示区，一款高度仅23厘米的小型台灯吸引了来自全球各地客商的目光。

这款产品出自佛山电器照明股份有限公司，正式名称为低位照明桌灯。它采用了一个反常识的设计直觉：将光源藏到视线以下，再让光线经过两次反射向上漫射。由于眼睛看不到光源本身，从源头上消除了台灯眩光的影响。这一设计理念，使其区别于市面上大量以“便携”或“氛围”为卖点的充电台灯。在2023年广交会设计创新奖评选中，这款并不显眼的台灯从众多参选产品中脱颖而出，摘得至尊金奖。

回顾2014年，彼时广交会出口产品设计奖（CF奖前身）刚刚起步。当年44家企业的55件产品获奖，广东以11家企业、12个奖项的成绩，成为获奖数量最多的省份。这被视为广货在设计创新领域的“起跑即领步”。

刚刚落幕的2025年CF奖，竞争烈度创下历史之最，1400家企业、3210件产品参评，最终仅167件获奖，获奖比例低至5.2%。而广东依然交出亮眼答卷：55件产品获奖，占比32.9%，广东交易团荣获“最佳组织奖”。这些数字共同指向一个清晰的“广东现象”：在中国外贸最重要的窗口——广交会上，广东设计、广东制造正以压倒性的创新密度，成为全球采购商目光的焦点。
