From March 18th to 20th, the 5th China Chaoshan Textile and Garment Exhibition (CTGE) is being held at the Shantou International Convention and Exhibition Center.

Now in its fifth year, the CTGE has seen its exhibition area expand from 30,000 square meters at the inaugural edition to 150,000 square meters this year, marking a significant leap in scale. The event features 18 exhibition halls and 19 exhibition zones. Here, visitors can explore over 200,000 new products all in one place, ranging from basic yarns and diverse fabrics and accessories to various brassieres, underwear, home wear, sports and yoga clothes, and sun protection clothing and swimwear. More than 1,200 enterprises from 21 textile and garment industry clusters across the country, including Shantou, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Jinjiang, and Yiwu, gather here, creating a powerful cluster effect and truly enabling a comprehensive view of the entire supply chain at a single venue.
The opening show, traditionally the "highlight" of each CTGE, drew strong attention from the industry. Breaking new ground this year, the opening show featured robots on the runway for the first time, creating a human-robot collaboration that showcased fashion aesthetics and delivered a visually striking spectacle blending technology with style.
Beyond the robot catwalk, AI emerged as a key theme of this year's expo. During the opening ceremony, the "AI Alliance Empowering the Textile and Garment Industry Belt Initiative" was launched. A dedicated exhibition zone for AI and industry innovation services has also been established for the first time, showcasing the latest technologies such as AI-driven design and intelligent manufacturing.
The expo is not only a showcase but also a vital business hub. The event continues to advance its "Going Global" Initiative, attracting buyers from more than 50 countries and regions, including a large number of international buyers and designers.

A special feature of the expo is the "Expo First, Factory Visit Later" model: after viewing samples at the exhibition, international buyers can visit factories in Shantou in person, gaining a close-up understanding of production processes and quality control. In addition, the expo integrates services like cross-border logistics and international marketing, providing tangible support for high-quality Chinese intimate apparel to reach global markets.
After five years of development, the CTGE has become a benchmark and a resource hub for the development of China's intimate apparel industry. It not only offers global buyers an efficient platform for business connections but also showcases the latest explorations and practices of Shantou's textile and garment industry in branding, digitalization, greening, and globalization.
