In recent years, Guangdong's tea industry has seen improvements in both quantity and quality. In 2025, the province's tea plantation area reached about 1.77 million mu, and the output of dry raw tea hit 203,500 tons, representing an increase of 50.55% and 58.73% respectively compared to 2020. Famous teas such as Yingde Black Tea and Fenghuang Dancong Tea have evolved from local specialties to national renown and are now reaching overseas markets.

Local new-style tea beverage brands in Guangdong are unlocking the potential of Guangdong tea through innovation, redefining how traditional tea is consumed. Heytea has launched multiple hit products based on Yingde Black Tea and rolled out its Yinghong lineup in overseas markets such as the US and Singapore. Nayuki has focused on Fenghuang Dancong Tea "Ya Shi Xiang" (Duck Shit Oolong), creating viral drinks that have driven the upgrade and expansion of the Chaozhou tea industry. LINLEE's Hand-beaten Lemon Tea with Ya Shi Xiang sells over 12 million cups annually, while MOLLY TEA combines Dancong's floral aroma with fresh milk and fruit, making Guangdong tea a daily drink for the younger generation.


New-style tea drinks are not only revolutionizing tastes but also carrying forward Lingnan culture, turning Guangdong tea into a cultural calling card for cities. Heytea has created region-specific products by combining Xinhui Mandarin Pu'er and Yingde Black Tea. MOLLY TEA has launched themed events and cultural and creative merchandise integrating Lingnan elements such as Cantonese Opera, Lion Dance, and Wing Chun. LINLEE has combined Guangzhou landmarks to showcase tea culture and achievements in rural revitalization, deeply integrating traditional tea charm with trendy consumption.

Currently, Guangdong has certified 230 ecological tea gardens, established 22 provincial-level modern agricultural industrial parks for tea and seven towns with strong agricultural industries. It has also cultivated 89 leading agricultural enterprises at the provincial level or above. By 2025, 207 tea products in Guangdong had obtained green and high-quality agricultural product certification, laying a solid quality foundation for Guangdong tea to go global.
广东茶新消费:从“土特产”到“全球香”
近年来广东茶产业实现量质齐升,2025年全省茶园面积176.59万亩、干毛茶产量20.35万吨,较2020年分别增长50.55%、58.73%,英德红茶、凤凰单丛等名优茶从地方特产走向全国、迈向世界。
广东本土新茶饮品牌以创新激活粤茶潜力,解锁传统茶叶的现代饮用方式。喜茶依托英德红茶推出多款爆款产品,并将英红系列推向美国、新加坡等海外市场;奈雪的茶深耕凤凰单丛鸭屎香,打造出圈茶饮,带动潮州茶产业升级扩产;LINLEE林里鸭屎香手打柠檬茶年销超1200万杯,茉莉奶白则将单丛花香与鲜奶、水果结合,让粤茶成为年轻人的日常饮品。
新茶饮不仅革新口味,更传承岭南文化,让广东茶成为城市文化名片。喜茶结合新会柑普、英德红茶打造地域特色产品,茉莉奶白融入粤剧、醒狮、咏春等岭南元素推出主题活动与文创周边,林里结合广州地标展示茶文化与助农成果,让传统茶韵与时尚消费深度融合。
目前广东省已认定230个生态茶园,建成22个茶叶省级现代农业产业园、7个农业产业强镇,培育89家省级以上农业龙头企业。2025年广东茶叶绿色优质农产品认证达207个,为广东茶走向世界打下了坚实的品质基础。
