From February 1st to 10th, the First Senior Officials' Meeting and Related Meetings of APEC China 2026 were successfully held in Guangzhou under the theme of "Building an Asia-Pacific Community to Prosper Together." During the events, a team of 247 young volunteers provided professional, efficient and warm-hearted services to ensure the smooth operation of the meetings, showcasing the dynamic spirit of Guangzhou's youth.

Among them, 50 on-site meeting volunteers, 50 mobile volunteers and 147 citywide volunteers collaborated and performed their respective duties. A team of 50 volunteers from Guangdong University of Foreign Studies (GDUFS) was stationed at the Guangzhou Baiyun International Convention Center. They took on 12 categories of duties, including conference protocol and reception, venue guidance, registration and consultation, foreign-language interpretation, and emergency support to ensure the orderly conduct of over 70 meetings. The team staffed nine language-service desks and assisted more than 1,000 times. The lost-and-found desk handled more than 60 cases of item retrieval and storage, delivering error-free service.

The 147 citywide volunteers extended their reach across the city, serving around the conference venue, at major transportation hubs including Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport, Guangzhou Baiyun Railway Station, and Guangzhou South Railway Station, as well as along five city visit routes. They provided information services, traffic guidance, and bilingual introductions. As the first stop in Guangzhou for many international guests, Baiyun Airport and Guangzhou Baiyun Railway Station had nearly 300 volunteers on duty daily. At the airport, the "Spring Breeze Service" team drew on its experience from the Spring Festival travel rush to offer bilingual reception and attentive assistance.

In addition, 42 volunteers along the thematic visit routes and 10 volunteers for the Pearl River night cruise acted as "Ambassadors of Guangfu Culture," providing bilingual guided tours along five distinctive city visit routes and showcasing to attending delegates the city's unique charm that blends tradition with modernity.

The volunteers' professional performance received high recognition. Elspeth Davidson, Program Director of the APEC Secretariat, sent a special letter of commendation. Delegates from multiple member economies, including the United States and Chile, also praised the service for being professional, efficient, and warm. The volunteers lit up this international event with their warmth and youthful vigor.

247名志愿者组成APEC最青春的“广州名片”！

2月1日至10日，亚太经合组织第一次高官会及相关会议在广州顺利举办，会议以“建设亚太共同体，促进共同繁荣”为主题。会议期间，247名青年志愿者组成专业服务队伍，以高效、暖心的服务保障大会顺利运行，展现了广州青年的青春风采。

其中，50名场内大会志愿者、50名机动志愿者与147名城市志愿者分工协作、各司其职。50名广东外语外贸大学学子组成的场内志愿者队伍，驻守白云国际会议中心，承担会务礼宾、会场指引、注册咨询、外语翻译、应急补位等12类岗位工作，保障70余场会议有序开展。团队设置9个外语语种服务岗，累计服务超1000次，失物招领岗完成60余次寻物与寄存服务，实现服务“零差错”。

147名城市志愿者将服务延伸至城市各处，分布在会场周边、白云机场、广州白云站、广州南站等交通枢纽，以及大会5条参访线路，提供信息咨询、交通疏导、双语讲解等服务。作为外宾抵穗首站，白云机场与广州白云站每日近300人次志愿者上岗，机场“春风服务”队结合春运经验，提供双语接待与贴心服务。

此外，42名主题线路志愿者与10名珠江夜游志愿者化身“广府文化使者”，在5条特色参访线路上开展双语导赏服务，向参会嘉宾展现广州传统与现代交融的城市魅力。

志愿者们的专业表现获得高度认可，APEC秘书处项目总监Elspeth Davidson专门致信表扬，美国、智利等多国代表也纷纷点赞，称赞服务专业、高效、暖心，成为本次国际盛会中一道温暖而亮眼的青春风景线。
