2026 China Cultural and Tourism Gala (Spring Festival Special) opens in Yangjiang

On February 7th, the 2026 China Cultural and Tourism Gala (Spring Festival Special), produced by China Media Group, officially kicked off in Yangjiang, drawing nationwide attention to this coastal city in western Guangdong Province.

Located in one of the warmest regions on the Chinese mainland, Yangjiang enjoys average winter temperatures ranging from 15 °C to 23 °C. Blessed with six major ecological assets, including mountains, sea, springs, lakes, forests, and caves, it is an all-in-one resort destination combining sunshine, blue seas, hot springs, and dramatic peaks. These natural endowments provided a stunning backdrop for the national-level cultural and tourism event.

According to official figures, Yangjiang's total tourism revenue for 2025 reached 16.32 billion yuan. During the summer holiday season alone, the city welcomed about 4.55 million visitors, with Hailing Island, the core scenic area, receiving  about 2.51 million visitors, a year-on-year increase of 5.1%. Over the Spring Festival holiday, daily visitor numbers averaged about 1.26 million. These numbers underscore Yangjiang's solid standing as an important tourism destination in Guangdong.

The well-known actor Yu Haoming, visiting Yangjiang for the first time for this cultural and tourism event and expressing his delight with the coastal city, said he was impressed by Yangjiang's douchi (fermented black soybeans), seafood, and coastline.

Leveraging its rich natural and cultural resources, Yangjiang has successfully developed a modern cultural and tourism industry. Centered on the Nanhai No. 1 shipwreck as a cultural anchor, the city has introduced immersive experiences, including cultural and creative products and specialty cuisine. In the Jiangcheng District, the main urban area, efforts to keep intangible cultural heritage alive have taken root, with historical cultural blocks and the Xilai Scenic Area helping generate more than one-third of the city's cultural and tourism revenue. The integration of culture and tourism in villages has also shown remarkable results: Diyilie Village has transformed into "China's No. 1 Betta Fish Village," generating an annual output value exceeding 120 million yuan, while Napeng Village has embedded calligraphy and painting into the rural life, fostering new business formats such as art study tours.

《2026中国文旅大联欢》新春篇给出阳江答卷

2月7日,中央广播电视总台打造的《2026中国文旅大联欢》新春篇在阳江启幕,让这座粤西滨海城市备受全国关注。

阳江地处中国大陆温暖区域,冬季均温15至23摄氏度,坐拥山、海、泉、湖、林、洞六大生态资源,是汇聚暖阳、碧海、温泉、奇峰的全要素度假天堂,为这场国家级文旅盛会提供了天然舞台。

数据显示,2025年全年,阳江市旅游总收入达163.2亿元。仅2025年暑期,全市就接待游客455.3万人次,其中核心景区海陵岛接待量高达250.8万人次,同比增长5.1%。春节假期,日均访客达126.35万人。这印证了阳江作为广东重要旅游目的地的稳固地位。

“阳江的豆豉、海鲜和海岸线让我印象深刻!”本次文旅盛会,首次到访阳江的知名演员俞灏明毫不掩饰对这座滨海之城的惊喜。

阳江依托资源禀赋,成功打造现代文旅产业。以“南海I号”为文化核心,推出文创、特色美食等沉浸式体验;主城区江城区以非遗活态传承为抓手,依托历史文化街区、西濑风情区等,文旅收入占全市超三成。乡村文旅融合成效显著,第一埒村变身年产值超1.2亿元“中国斗鱼第一村”,那蓬村将书画艺术基因融入乡村肌理,发展艺术研学等新业态。
