As New Year's Day and the Spring Festival approach in 2026, Liwan district of Guangzhou has rolled out a wide range of festive activities, offering a rich holiday atmosphere in diverse and inclusive forms.

On the evening of February 17th, 2026, the first day of the Chinese New Year, the 2026 Guangzhou Bai'etan Spring Festival Fireworks Display will light up the night sky. Carefully choreographed fireworks will burst into brilliant colors over Bai'etan on the Pearl River, conveying festive wishes of joy and reunion.

From February 12th to 14th, 2026, the Guangzhou Water Flower Market will link the land and water spaces of three major areas: Liwan Lake Park, Lizhiwan Creek, and the Cantonese Opera Art Museum. Specially designed flower boats featuring Lingnan floral displays, Cantonese cultural elements, and Year of the Horse-themed designs will set sail, allowing visitors to experience the poetic charm of Liwan, where scenic waters meet fragrant blooms, and to rediscover the traditional elegance of the Water Flower Market.

From February 14th to 17th, 2026, Liwan district is set to host its traditional Spring Festival flower market, known as "Liwan Flower Market," along Liwan Road. Blending Xiguan food with intangible cultural heritage experiences, the market will offer an immersive festive celebration that combines sightseeing, appreciation, tasting, and fun.

In February 2026, the Spring Flower and Lantern Festival in Guangzhou Cultural Park will illuminate the city. Dozens of landscaped displays combining floral arrangements and lanterns will be showcased, complemented by seasonal flowers and kumquat trees, creating a dazzling sea of blossoms.

During the Spring Festival, major museums in Liwan District, including the Cantonese Opera Art Museum, Liwan Museum, and the Guangzhou Thirteen Hongs Museum, will jointly launcha series of activities. Through hands-on cultural activities such as New Year floral arrangement, Guangdong paper-cutting, and gold-leaf calendar-making, visitors will be able to experience the depth and richness of Lingnan culture through creative participation.

广州白鹅潭烟花汇演，定档大年初一！

2026年元旦、春节将至，广州市荔湾区以“大西关贺岁”为主题，筹备了一系列年味浓郁、形式多样、覆盖广泛的活动。

2026年2月17日（大年初一）晚间，白鹅潭春节烟花汇演将震撼上演。精心编排的烟花将在珠江白鹅潭夜空绚烂绽放，传递喜庆团圆的新春祝福。

2026年2月12日至14日，广州水上花市将串联荔湾湖公园、荔枝湾涌、粤剧艺术博物馆三大片区的水陆空间。融合岭南花卉、广府文化、马年主题的特色花船将浪漫启航，让游客在摇曳舟船间领略“水秀花香”的荔湾魅力，重现水上花市的古韵新姿。

2026年2月14日至17日，荔湾传统迎春花市将在荔湾路热闹开市。花市将结合西关美食与非遗体验，打造集“逛、赏、品、玩”于一体的沉浸式迎春盛宴。

2026年2月，广州文化公园“迎春花会”暨“元宵灯会”将璀璨点亮。公园内将展出数十组花灯结合的园林景组，搭配各类精品时花与桔果，宛如一片繁花似锦的花之海洋。

春节期间，荔湾区内粤剧艺术博物馆、荔湾博物馆、广州十三行博物馆等各大博物馆将联动推出“博物馆里过大年”系列活动，通过新春插花、广东剪纸、金箔画年历手作等丰富的文化体验活动，让市民在动手体验中感受岭南文化底蕴。
