As the final month of 2025 arrives, games produced in Guangdong have once again captured the spotlight of the global gaming industry. "Wuthering Waves", developed by Kuro Games, followed the success of "Genshin Impact" and "Black Myth: Wukong" to win the Players' Voice award at The Game Awards 2025. Alongside "Wuthering Waves", "Puzzles & Survival", a phenomenal title in China's game overseas expansion, quickly entered the top ten of the iOS bestselling charts in 52 regions worldwide after its release.

"The world looks to China for games, and China looks to Guangdong." In recent years, Guangdong's game industry has become a new hallmark of the province's global presence. Data from the first half of 2025 show that overseas revenue from China's self-developed games grew 11.07% year‑on‑year, while Guangdong's game exports exceeded 25 billion yuan, up 28% year-on-year, with its global market share continuing to expand.
Leveraging the industrial strengths of Dongguan, known as the "Capital of Trendy Toys", Guangdong's game IP‑related merchandise has reached markets around the world. More than 4,000 toy manufacturers and nearly 1,500 upstream and downstream supporting enterprises in the region now produce about one‑quarter of the world's anime and game‑related derivative products.
From 2015 to 2024, the overseas revenue of Guangdong‑based gaming company 37 Interactive Entertainment surged from 356 million yuan to 5.72 billion yuan, an increase of nearly 15 times. Its Chinese‑style simulation game "Call MeBig Boss", published by 37 InteractiveEntertainment, features Song Dynasty commerce as its core gameplay concept and draws visual inspiration from the painting "Along the River During the Qingming Festival". The game has also collaborated with traditional heritage themes such as Guangfu culture, the three hills and five gardens,peking opera, and the lion dance to integrate intangible cultural heritage into modern digital experiences.

2025上半年广东游戏出海营收破250亿元
2025年最后一个月,粤产游戏又一次站在全球游戏产业的聚光灯下:库洛游戏旗下作品《鸣潮》接棒《原神》《黑神话:悟空》,斩获TGA“玩家之声”大奖。除了《鸣潮》,《Puzzles & Survival》作为中国游戏出海的现象级作品,上线后迅速进入全球52个地区iOS畅销榜前十。
“世界游戏看中国,中国游戏看广东。”近年来,广东游戏成为广东一张亮丽的新名片。2025年上半年数据显示,中国自研游戏海外收入同比增长11.07%,广东游戏出海营收超250亿元,同比增长28%,全球市场份额持续扩大。
依托“潮玩之都”东莞的产业优势,广东游戏IP衍生产品远销全球,超4000家玩具生产企业和近1500家上下游配套企业,包揽了全球近1/4的动漫衍生品生产。
2015-2024年,广东游戏企业三七互娱年境外收入从3.56亿元增至57.22亿元,增长近15倍。由三七互娱发行的国风模拟经营游戏《叫我大掌柜》,以宋代商贸为核心玩法逻辑,场景设计取材自《清明上河图》,并先后围绕广府文化、三山五园、京剧、醒狮等非遗项目展开合作。
