On the afternoon of November 30th, at a thematic forum of the 2025 Understanding China Conference (Guangzhou), Zhu Xiaoyi, deputy secretary-general of the People's Government of Guangzhou and deputy director of the Guangzhou division executive committee of the 15th National Games, announced that Guangzhou is preparing to build a permanent IP park centered on the "great bay chickens" (the mascots for the 15th National Games "Xiyangyang" and "Lerongrong"), turning them into permanent IPs for the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA).

At the forum, Zhu's keynote speech was themed "Reflections and Insights from the 15th National Games", in which he particularly responded to the public's affection for "Xiyangyang" and "Lerongrong". Zhu said, "The students from the martial arts school brought the mascots to life. They were just too cute and completely stole the show." To meet public enthusiasm, after the Games concluded, the mascots were also invited to appear at the Guangzhou International Light Festival, where the audience responded enthusiastically.

Zhu added that when the IP park is built, he hopes every visitor to the GBA will feel the lingering charm of the 15th National Games and perhaps meet the especially adorable "Xiyangyang" and "Lerongrong" in person.
