On the morning of November 15th, Guangdong Division's Executive Committee of the 15th National Games held a press conference at the Main Press Center in Guangzhou, offering an in-depth analysis of the sporting identities and achievements in sports industry development across five cities in Guangdong,including Guangzhou, Shantou, Zhaoqing, Qingyuan, and Chaozhou.

At the conference, Guangzhou expressed its gratitude to global netizens for amplifying the slogan "Passionate National Games, Vibrant Greater Bay Area, Charming New Guangzhou." It was revealed that more than 2,800 licensed products across 20 major categories for the 15th National Games, the 12th National Games for Persons with Disabilities, and the 9th National Special Olympic Games have already been released, with total sales surpassing 680 million yuan. In addition, venues such as the Guangdong Olympic Sports Center have secured full bookings for 2026. The 15th National Games and National Paralympic & Special Olympic Gamesmark a new starting point for Guangzhou in establishing itself as an international center for major sporting events.

For Shantou, "surfing" is an innate part of its sporting identity. Born by the sea and thriving through it, the city boasts 66 bays along the nearly 92-kilometer coastline of Nan'ao Island. Moving forward, the city plans to develop "blue sports", including coastal sports tourism projects and extending into "blue cultural tourism" like sports-themed homestays, enabling the power of the ocean to continue propelling the city forward.

Bordering the Pearl River Delta to the east and connecting to Southwest China to the west, Zhaoqing has cultivated a sporting identity that perfectly aligns with the balanced strength and resilience embodied in judo. In recent years, Zhaoqing has steadily strengthened its judo foundations, nurturing renowned athletes including Xian Dongmei, who won two Olympic titles, and Lu Tongjuan, the champion of the 14th National Games. Moving forward, the city will continue promoting judo in primary and secondary schools and establish an integrated training system encompassing "popularization, selection and talent development", while also building a city card blending "judo, cultural tourism and industry."

Qingyuan is accelerating its cultural tourism and sports development through its "Rafting Plus" model. Leveraging rafting competitions and attractions such as Qingyuan Chimelong Resort, the city has launched multiple two-day and one-night trips that pair rafting with other activities like hot springs or hiking. It will continue to host top-tier events such as the International Rafting Open to further enrich its "Rafting Plus" offerings.

As the "Hometown of Go," Chaozhou is building itself into a city for Go finals. At the grassroots level, the "Go Seedling Program"(a talent cultivation initiative for young players) has taken root in schools, with over 20,000 young people systematically learning Go each year. At the competition level, the city has successfully hosted major Go championships, becoming a key venue for national Go events. At the competitive level, the Chaozhou Go team has achieved remarkable results, winning the provincial youth championship team title six times. Throughout 2026, a series of activities under the theme "Spend Your Weekends Playing Go in Chaozhou" will be launched.

广东五城同台秀出“体育性格”

11月15日上午，十五运会广东省执委会在广州主新闻中心新闻发布厅举行发布会，深度解读广州、汕头、肇庆、清远、潮州等各城市的体育性格与体育产业发展成果。

发布会上，广州特别致谢全球网友对“激情全运会，活力大湾区，魅力新广州”口号的传播，并透露目前已经上市了涵盖20大类的2800余款十五运会和残特奥会特许产品，销售总额已突破6.8亿元人民币。此外，广东奥体中心等赛事场馆2026年订单已“盆满钵满”，十五运会和残特奥会是广州打造国际赛事中心的新起点。

对汕头而言，“冲浪”是与生俱来的体育性格。城市向海而生、因海而兴，南澳岛近92公里的海岸线上分布着66处海湾。未来，汕头计划打造“蓝色体育”，发展滨海体育旅游项目，并延伸出运动主题民宿等“蓝色文旅”项目，让这份来自海洋的力量继续推动城市向前。

肇庆东承珠三角、西接大西南的地理格局，孕育了与“亦柔亦刚”的柔道智慧高度契合的城市体育性格。近年来，肇庆持续夯实柔道基础，先后培养出两届奥运会柔道冠军冼东妹、十四运会柔道冠军卢童娟等名将。下一步，肇庆将继续推动柔道在中小学的普及，构建“普及—选拔—输送”的一体化培养体系，同时打造“柔道+文旅+产业”的城市名片。

清远正以“漂流+”跑出文旅体加速度。清远以漂流赛事为牵引，发挥漂流、长隆等项目带动作用，推出“漂流+温泉”“漂流+徒步”等多条两天一宿文旅线路，后续持续办好国际漂流公开赛等顶级赛事，丰富“漂流+”产品供给。

作为“围棋之乡”，潮州正打造围棋决赛之城。普及层面，以“棋苗工程”深耕校园，每年超2万名青少年系统学棋；赛事层面，成功举办各大围棋锦标赛，跻身全国围棋赛事重要举办地；竞技层面，潮州围棋队屡创佳绩，6次斩获省青少年锦标赛总团体冠军。2026年全年将推出“周末请到潮州下棋”系列活动。
