On October 26th, the world's first documentary film centered on the Chinese white dolphin, titled "Chinese White Dolphin", held its premiere screening at the 4th Chinese Documentary Film Festival. Echoing the theme of "Passionate National Games, Vibrant Greater Bay Area," the film will be released in theaters nationwide during the 15th National Games, the 12th National Paralympic Games, and the 9th National Special Olympic Games.

Set against the backdrop of the construction of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge—a mega infrastructure project, and the co-hosting of the 15th National Games by Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao, the documentary follows the journey of a Chinese white dolphin named "Zhuzhu" returning to its habitat. The Chinese white dolphin is the only marine mammal species named after "China" and is listed as "Vulnerable" (VU) on the "IUCN Red List of Threatened Species". This ancient species, which has existed for over 60 million years, now has a global population of only about 6,000, with around 4,500 residing in Chinese waters. As the world's largest habitat for Chinese white dolphins, the Pearl River Estuary is home to about 2,000 individuals.

It took six years to complete this 82-minute documentary film. To authentically document the living conditions of Chinese white dolphins, the production team traveled across multiple countries including China, the United States, Sweden, and the United Kingdom, as well as regions such as Guangdong, Hainan, Hong Kong, and Macao. They completed over a hundred offshore shoots, covering over 3,600 nautical miles. The team interviewed 21 scientists and 17 conservationists, collecting over a thousand hours of precious footage.

Through the universal language of ecological conservation, the "Chinese White Dolphin" not only introduces this unique species to the world, but also tells the vivid story of how the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA) safeguards nature and pursues harmonious coexistence amid development. "This 82-minute visual epic will leave audiences with more than just the endearing image of Chinese white dolphins, but also the resilience of life it embodies and the responsibility humanity bears toward nature," said Yan Dong, the Chief Director of the film.

十五运会吉祥物原型故事即将上映！纪录电影《中华白海豚》珠海试映

10月26日，全球首部以中华白海豚为主题的纪录电影《中华白海豚》在第四届华语纪录电影大会上进行了首场试映，将呼应“激情全运会，活力大湾区”的主题，在十五运会和残特奥会期间登陆全国院线。

影片以超级工程港珠澳大桥建设和粤港澳三地合办第十五届全运会为时代背景，围绕名为“珠珠”的中华白海豚的归家之路展开叙述。中华白海豚是唯一以“中华”命名的海洋哺乳类动物，被列入《世界自然保护联盟濒危物种红色名录》的“易危”级别。这一跨越6000万年的古老物种目前全球仅存约6000头，其中中国海域约有4500头，珠江口作为全球最大的中华白海豚栖息地，生活着约2000头个体。

《中华白海豚》全片时长82分钟，历时六年精心制作。为真实记录中华白海豚的生存状况，摄制组足迹遍及中国、美国、瑞典、英国等多个国家，以及广东、海南、香港、澳门等地，完成上百次的海上拍摄，累计行程超过3600海里，采访了21位科学家与17位保护工作者，积累超千小时珍贵影像素材。

《中华白海豚》以生态环境保护这一人类共通的语言，不仅向世界展示中华白海豚这一独特物种，更讲述了中国粤港澳大湾区在发展中守护自然、和谐共生的生动故事。“这部82分钟的视觉史诗，能让观众记住的不仅是中华白海豚的可爱形象，更是其背后所承载的生命韧性，以及人类对自然应承担的责任。”总导演闫东说。
