According to statistics from the Guangdong Sub-Administration of General Administration of Customs of the People's Republic of China (GACC), in the first three quarters of this year, Guangdong's total foreign trade (imports and exports) reached 7.02 trillion yuan, a 3.8% increase from the same period last year, with exports totaling 4.48 trillion yuan, up 1.4% year on year, and imports amounting to 2.54 trillion yuan, up 8.2% year on year.

In the first three quarters, the scales of Guangdong's foreign trade, exports, and imports all rose quarter by quarter. In the first and second quarters, total foreign trade was 2.13 trillion yuan and 2.41 trillion yuan respectively, and it further increased to 2.47 trillion yuan in the third quarter, up 3.5% year on year, marking the ninth consecutive quarter of positive growth. In terms of exports, Guangdong's growth rates were 1.2% and 0.9% respectively in the first two quarters, and accelerated to 2.3% in the third quarter.

The number of active foreign trade enterprises became more vibrant. In the first three quarters, Guangdong had 147,100 enterprises with actual import and export performance, an increase of 8.9%. Among them, 21,500 were foreign-invested enterprises, up 2.6% year on year, with an aggregate import and export value of 2.23 trillion yuan, up 5.8% year on year. Since this year, Guangdong's foreign-invested enterprises have maintained good momentum for development, and their share in total foreign trade increased by 0.6% year on year to 31.8%.

The diversification of markets is being progressed steadily. In the first three quarters, Guangdong's foreign trade with countries participating in the Belt and Road Initiative totaled 2.71 trillion yuan, up 4.1% year on year, accounting for 38.7% of the province's total imports and exports, and foreign trade with the 17 Middle Eastern countries, ASEAN, Africa and the five Central Asian countries rose 4.4%, 5.3%, 10.2% and 25.5%, respectively.

Exports are shifting toward innovative and higher-quality products. In the first three quarters, Guangdong's exports of mechanical and electrical products reached 3.06 trillion yuan, up 6.9% year on year, and their share in Guangdong's total exports rose to 68.4%. Among these, exports of high-technology items, such as electronic information products, high-end equipment, and the "new trio" (electric vehicles, lithium-ion batteries and photovoltaic products), achieved double-digit growth, increasing by 14.5%, 22.3%, and 31.0%, respectively.

前三季度广东外贸进出口7.02万亿元，同比增长3.8%

据海关总署广东分署统计，今年前三季度，广东外贸进出口7.02万亿元，较去年同期（下同）增长3.8%。其中，出口4.48万亿元，增长1.4%；进口2.54万亿元，增长8.2%。

前三季度，广东进出口、出口、进口规模均逐季提升。其中，第一、二季度进出口分别为2.13万亿、2.41万亿元，第三季度继续提升至2.47万亿元，增长3.5%，已连续9个季度实现同比正增长；出口方面，第一、二季度广东出口分别增长1.2%、0.9%，第三季度增速加快至增长2.3%。

外贸主体更加活跃。前三季度，广东有进出口实绩的企业数量为14.71万家，增加8.9%。其中，外商投资企业2.15万家，增加2.6%，进出口值2.23万亿元，增长5.8%。今年以来广东外商投资企业发展态势良好，进出口值比重较去年同期提升0.6个百分点至31.8%。

市场多元化稳步推进。前三季度，广东对共建“一带一路”国家进出口2.71万亿元，增长4.1%，占广东进出口总值的38.7%。对中东17国、东盟、非洲、中亚5国等新兴市场进出口分别增长4.4%、5.3%、10.2%、25.5%。

出口产品向新向优。前三季度，广东出口机电产品3.06万亿元，增长6.9%，占广东出口总值的比重提升至68.4%。其中，出口电子信息、高端装备、“新三样”等高技术产品实现两位数增长，分别增长14.5%、22.3%、31%。
