Witnessed by the deep-ocean drilling vessel "Mengxiang", the flame cauldron for China's 15th National Games, 12th National Games for Persons with Disabilities and 9th National Special Olympic Games (National Paralympic & Special Olympic Games) was lit, marking the birth of the world's first green "source flame" collected from the deep sea in the history of global sports. The flame will then travel through four cities—including Hong Kong, Macao, Guangzhou, and Shenzhen—before the torch relay begins in November.

The 15th National Games pioneers China's first "Metaverse Cloud National Games Village." Through the application of AI and a "Free-Angle Viewing System," spectators can enjoy an immersive and interactive viewing experience. Parking lots equipped with "integrated solar-powered EV charging microgrid with battery storage" can recharge electric vehicles within just 10 to 15 minutes. The deep integration of cutting-edge technologies such as AI and cloud computing with major sporting events has made technological innovation the most distinctive feature of the 15th National Games.
In Yunfu, small and micro spaces have been revitalized efficiently, with pocket parks and convenient parking lots brimming with new vitality. In Zhuhai, standardized football pitches allow citizens to fully enjoy the thrill of football right at their doorstep. These changes are injecting health and vitality into every corner of the city. Guangdong is advancing 1,160 urban quality improvement projects, including neighborhood renovations, greening initiatives, and lighting optimizations, while clearing 623 congestion points on Games-related roads, turning the goal of "hosting a successful event" into the long-term benefits of "uplifting an entire city."

Regional synergy within China's Greater Bay Area (GBA) is a major theme of this grand sporting event. Leveraging convenient policies such as "Northbound Travel for Hong Kong Vehicles," "Northbound Travel for Macao Vehicles," and the 240-hour visa-free transit policy, Guangdong collaborates with Hong Kong and Macao to develop "multi-destination" in-depth tours. Hong Kong draws on its international strengths and professional teamwork to tell China's sports stories to the world. Meanwhile, Macao promotes an integrated model of "competition venue as tourist attraction, and game-watching as sightseeing," transforming exciting events into a powerful medium that deeply merges culture, sports, and tourism. The mutual empowerment of the sport event-driven economy and cultural tourism consumption turns the "individual brilliance" into the enduring momentum of "harmonious coexistence."
