On October 2nd, the 2025 Guangzhou Super Strawberry Music Festival kicked off at the Nansha Music Showcase, drawing more than 30,000 music fans. Located near the Pearl River estuary, the venue offers nearly 20 kilometers of newly opened coastline, allowing attendees to enjoy coastal scenery alongside performances and experience the unique blend of "music and sea breeze".

The opening day featured a diverse fusion of indie songwriting and rock music. Singers including Chen Li, Chen Chusheng, and Liang Bo took the stage with passionate performances, while the band Landlord's Cats created a lyrical mood with delicate vocals. Rock energy surged with bands like Omnipotent Youth Society and Mercader. International acts also joined in, including Japanese band I Don't Like Mondays. and singer Liyuu, who made their music festival debuts, while DOUDOU collaborated for the first time with the music band Mabang, blending ethnic and modern styles in their performance. DOUDOU also praised the enthusiasm of the audience in Nansha, hoping to return for future tours.

A resident told reporters that this was his second consecutive year attending music festivals in Nansha, noting how convenient it was to enjoy high-quality performances right at his doorstep. Another music fan from Shenzhen said the opening of the Shenzhong Link made transportation more convenient. Coming with his family together this time, not only did they experience the festival atmosphere, but they also enjoyed Nansha's coastal charm. Besides, several music fans also mentioned the ease of reaching the venue directly by subway from downtown Guangzhou. After the performances, many fans chose to taste local cuisine or stay at ocean-view hotels to further immerse themselves in Nansha's unique offerings.

This music festival is a major highlight of the Nansha Youth Music Season. On October 3rd, a "Cantonese Music Day" featured Hong Kong singers, including Karen Mok and Miriam Yeung, performing classic Cantonese hits. Since its launch in August, the music season has served as a platform for musical exchange among youth across the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA), with more exciting events to follow.
