The year 2025 is regarded as the "breakthrough year of AI glasses." According to CINNO Research, a Chinese flat panel display consultancy, in the first half of 2025, sales of consumer-oriented AIand AR glasses in China reached 262,000 units, a year-on-year increase of 73%, setting a new record.

In the second quarter of 2025, RayNeo, a subsidiary of Guangdong-based TCL, captured a 39% share of the global market, ranking first in the world in AR glasses shipments for the first time.

In the past, the AI glasses sector was dominated by American technology companies. In recent years, however, Guangdong-made smart glasses have been reshaping the global smart glasses industry chain. As a core hub, Shenzhen's Longgang District produces 125 million pairs of mid-to-high-end glasses annually, meaning that one out of every seven pairs of high-end glasses worldwide is made here.

As China's leading province in smart glasses manufacturing, Guangdong ranks first in the number of enterprises in this sector nationwide. In September this year, Guangzhou also launched the world's first full-color AR glasses payment service. This means that with no need for hands, simply wearing smart glasses allows travelers abroad to make payments with just a glance.

其中，2025年第二季度，来自粤企TCL旗下的雷鸟创新以高达39%的全球市场份额，首次问鼎AR眼镜出货量全球第一。

曾经，AI眼镜领域由美国科技企业主导。而近年来，“广东造”正在重塑全球智能眼镜产业链格局。深圳龙岗区作为核心集聚区，年产中高端眼镜达1.25亿副，全球每7副高端眼镜就有1副诞生于此。

作为“智能眼镜制造”大省，广东拥有相关企业数量位居全国第一。今年9月，“广东造”全球首个全彩眼镜支付正式开启。这意味不需要双手，戴上智能眼镜，在境外旅游“看一下”也能支付。
