On August 15th, during the 23rd South China Sea (Yangjiang) Fishing Season, a distinctive Tanka traditional wedding customs performance was staged. With fishing boats serving as bridal sedan chairs and folk sea songs as accompaniment, a Tanka couple re-enacted an authentic "maritime wedding," drawing nearly a thousand tourists to watch.

To the lingering melody of folk sea songs, the bride appeared in a red Tanka wedding dress with a phoenix coronet adorned with red hairpins and a red veil, while the groom wore a black wedding outfit with a large red flower pinned to his chest. Behind their "wedding boat," over 20 fisherwomen in traditional Tanka attire carried ornate gold jewelry and a dazzling array of dowry gifts—including pairs of chickens and geese, pork, fish, wedding wine, and wedding pastry—escorting the couple as they moved slowly forward.

"This is my first time seeing a Tanka-style wedding customs performance. I walked along with it for quite a while, and it was lively and refreshing," said Ms. Zhang, a tourist from Guangzhou. "Experiencing traditional customs here on Yangjiang Hailing Island is very interesting, and I hope to see more of the local culture."

The Tanka wedding performance not only added rich cultural flavor to the fishing festival, but also gave audiences a close encounter with the unique charm of maritime folk customs.

阳江开渔节再现传统疍家婚俗

8月15日，第二十三届南海（阳江）开渔季期间，一场独具特色的疍家传统婚嫁民俗表演精彩上演。渔舟为轿、咸水作歌，疍家新人通过原生态仪式呈现“海上婚礼”的独特风情，吸引近千名游客驻足观赏。

伴着悠悠的咸水歌声，新娘身穿疍家红色喜服，头戴朱钗凤冠，以红纱遮面。一旁的新郎则身着黑色喜服，胸挂大红花。“婚船”后，20余名身穿传统疍家服饰的渔女抬着繁复精美的金饰以及成双成对的鸡、鹅、猪肉、鱼、喜酒、喜饼等琳琅满目的随嫁物品簇拥着新人缓缓前行。

“这是我第一次看到疍家风情的婚俗表演，跟着走了好一段路，热闹又新鲜。”来自广州的游客张女士表示，在海陵岛感受当地的传统风俗是十分有趣的体验，希望能够体验到更多当地的特色。

这场疍家婚嫁表演不仅为阳江开渔节增添了浓郁的文化底色，更让观众近距离感受到海洋民俗的独特魅力。
