As the IP of the "ACG station in Cyber Guangzhou" of "Yangcheng's New Consumption Eight Sights" was launched during the summer holidays, Guangzhou Convention and Exhibition Industry and commercial districts have teamed up with ACG (anime, comics and games) IPs to drive a deep integration of the exhibition economy and urban consumption. In the first half of 2025, Guangzhou's key venues hosted 11 large-scale ACG fairs, spanning 520,000 square meters and attracting 840,000 visitors. A cluster of distinctive ACG-themed pop-up markets rapidly took shape.

Guangzhou is widely regarded as a top-tier city for ACG events. The 36th Firefly Animation & Game Carnival drew 288,000 visits. The inaugural Kuro Games Carnival drew more than 10,000 participants, with nearly half of them traveling from outside Guangdong province.

Major fairs have a powerful spillover effect on surrounding commercial districts. On the opening day of the "Sky: Children of the Light" gala, the Canton Tower Plaza recorded 148,000 visitors, and pop-up events themed on multiple IPs flourished citywide.

From January to July this year, Guangzhou staged nearly 130 anime conventions, building a city-wide ACG matrix that covers all age groups and shaping a closed-loop consumption of "exhibition-and-retail integration".

Data shows that China's pan-ACG user base reached roughly 503 million in 2024, with Gen-Z users spending over 3,000 yuan per person annually on related consumption. Guangzhou is reinforcing top-level planning to build itself into a hub of anime games, with the ACG economy becoming a fresh engine of cultural consumption.
从展会热到消费潮,广州二次元经济崛起
随着“羊城消费新八景”之“次元站·赛博广州”IP暑期上线,广州会展业与商圈携手ACG IP,推动会展经济与城市消费深度融合。今年上半年,广州全市重点场馆举办大型ACG展会11场,展览面积52万平方米,接待观众84万人次,一批特色二次元消费集市加速形成。
广州被誉为二次元活动“顶流”城市。第36届萤火虫动漫游戏嘉年华吸引28.8万人次;库洛游戏首届嘉年华超万人参与,近半数参观者跨省赴穗。
大型展会强力辐射商圈,《光·遇》盛典开幕日广州塔广场接待14.8万人次,多个IP主题快闪活动遍地开花。
今年1至7月,广州举办漫展近130场次,形成覆盖全年龄段的“二次元矩阵”,构建“展店一体”消费闭环。
数据显示,2024年中国泛二次元用户达5.03亿,“Z世代”人均年支出超3000元。广州正加强顶层设计,打造动漫游戏产业之都,二次元经济成为文化消费新引擎。
