Smart forest sensors capture the tracks of new species, while the national first-class protected wild plant Paphiopedilum purpuratum blooms on cliffs. New discoveries such as Vaccinium chaozhouense and Viola chaozhouensis have been made. Over the past three years, the number of wild plant species in the protected area has increased from 1,490 to 1,587, and terrestrial vertebrates have risen from 228 to 242.
