On July 25th, the State Council Information Office of the People's Republic of China held a press conference on the preparation work for the 15th National Games of the People's Republic of China. It was announced that this edition of the Games will be jointly hosted by Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao, which is an innovative application of the "one country, two systems" policy in sports. The Games are set to open in Guangzhou on November 9th and close in Shenzhen on November 21st, marking the first time in the history of the National Games that the opening and closing ceremonies are held in separate cities.

There will be 34 competition events (419 minor events) and 23 mass participation events (166 minor events), with an estimated 15,000 athletes in competition events and 11,000 athletes in mass participation events, and some events will be completed before the opening ceremony. Under the principles of "green, inclusive, open, and clean," over 90% of competition venues are renovated from existing facilities, and no new large venues or dedicated "National Games Village" will be built.

The opening and closing ceremonies will feature a blend of sports, art and technology, highlighting themes of "patriotic sentiment," "charm of the Greater Bay Area," "beauty of sports," and "light of technology." Elements of traditional Chinese culture, Lingnan intangible cultural heritage, and the dragon and lion dance will be integrated. New technologies such as naked-eye 3D tech and artificial intelligence will be employed to showcase the coordination of Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao. At present, the creative scheme is almost finalized. The torch relay route will span all three regions, and the atmosphere of "Games for all" is growing increasingly vibrant.

The Organizing Committee stated it will strive to present a sports feast of international standard, Chinese style, Lingnan charm, and Greater Bay Area beauty, making the National Games an era‑defining event to promote regional integration and enhance people's well‑being.

广州开幕、深圳闭幕！十五运会筹办亮点剧透

7月25日，国务院新闻办公室举行第十五届全国运动会筹办情况新闻发布会。据悉，本届全运会由广东、香港、澳门联合承办，是“一国两制”在体育领域的创新实践，将于11月9日在广州开幕、11月21日在深圳闭幕，开闭幕式分办为我国全运会史上首次。

赛事设34个竞体大项（419小项）和23个群众赛事大项（166小项），预计分别有1.5万、1.1万名运动员参赛，部分项目将在开幕前完成。筹办坚持“绿色、共享、开放、廉洁”理念，90%以上竞赛场馆利用现有场馆改造，不新建大型场馆和“全运村”。

开闭幕式将以“体育+艺术+科技”为特色，突出“家国情怀”“湾区魅力”“体育之美”“科技之光”，融入中华传统文化、岭南非遗、武术龙狮等元素，运用裸眼3D、人工智能等新技术，呈现粤港澳三地融合风貌。目前创意方案基本完成，火炬传递路线贯穿三地，“全民全运”氛围日渐浓厚。

组委会表示，将努力呈现一场国际水准、中国气派、岭南风韵、湾区魅力的体育盛宴，让全运会成为促进区域融合、增进人民福祉的时代盛典。
