Recently, Guangdong released "the Action Plan on 'Media+' Empowering the Agricultural Market System under the 'Hundred, Thousand, and Ten Thousand Project' (2025–2027)" (the "Media+" Three-Year Action Plan), further tapping into the power of "Media+" to support the "Hundred, Thousand, and Ten Thousand Project" and accelerate the development of a modern rural industrial system in the province.

The "Media+" Three-Year Action Plan outlines eight key tasks including strengthening the synergy of "Media + Market" to promote integration with the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and expand overseas markets; enhancing "Media + Culture" to foster shared value and promote creative marketing; advancing "Media + Lifestyle" to shape the countryside into an ideal place to live; deepening the integration of media and culture; boosting "Media + Branding" to help local specialties gain wider recognition; promoting "Media + Technology" to drive collaborative innovation and build a cultural data platform for agriculture, rural areas and farmers; enhancing the effectiveness of "Media + Think Tanks" to provide strong intellectual support for agricultural branding; and establishing a strategic advantage in "Media+" model to lead systematic reform of mainstream media.

Luo Hongxia, Party secretary of Xuwen County, Zhanjiang City, told reporters that Xuwen has been one of the biggest beneficiaries of the "Media + Agricultural Marketing" model. "Media outlets helped explore the historical and cultural value of Xuwen pineapples, promoted their nutritional benefits, and organized training for pineapple farmers on how to sell their produce. Most remarkably, in February 2020, at the peak of the pandemic, the Yangcheng Evening News teamed up with Pinduoduo to launch the very first livestream from a farm in China, broadcasting directly from a Xuwen pineapple field, which helped local farmers overcome a major crisis," she said.

In recent years, Guangdong's media have actively participated in building the "Father's Love Like Orchids" IP for Sihui orchids, promoted Lechang's golden nectarines in international markets, and supported the branding of specialty products like Suixi's Xianpin lychees and Huilai's abalone, pineapple, lychee, Longjiang pork knuckle, and fish balls. These continuous innovations in marketing have collectively told compelling stories of modern local specialties and contributed to a new chapter in rural revitalization across the province.
