On June 25th, the Guangdong division's executive committee of the 15th National Games and the 12th National Games for Persons with Disabilities (NGD), and 9th National Special Olympic Games (NSOG) held a press conference in Guangzhou to introduce the ticketing arrangements for the Games. The ticketing work features two highlights: "new" and "largest." "New" refers to the first-ever joint hosting of the Games by Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao, realizing the concept of "one platform, tickets available across three regions." "Largest" refers to the scale of the Games, with the total number of available tickets approaching or even surpassing that of the Hangzhou Asian Games.
The ticketing plan follows the principle of "people first, benefit ordinary people." In terms of seating, at least 65% of the venue seats will be available to the public, and special care seating will be arranged for people with special needs. A public welfare ticketing initiative will be launched for the ticketed seats at the NGD and NSOG.
To ensure convenience, a multi-channel ticketing system will be established, allowing both audiences at home and abroad to purchase tickets through online and offline platforms. As for ticketed events, from September to December, public tickets will be available for competitive events, mass participation sports, and Paralympic events of the 15th National Games. NSOG events will not be ticketed. Finals scheduling and pricing also aim to be accessible to people — most finals will take place on weekday evenings or weekends. Ticket prices for the 15th National Games are still under discussion and are expected to be announced before September, with an overall affordable pricing strategy. The NGD events will adopt low ticket prices to reflect their public welfare nature, thus attracting more spectators, and promoting sports among persons with disabilities.
