The Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA) is home to over 10,000 enterprises related to the low-altitude economy. It is one of China's most promising regions in this sector and a global leaderin drone industry. Guangzhou, Shenzhen, and Zhuhai have emerged as three strong players, all ranking among the national top ten cities in the low-altitude economy in China.

Data shows that Guangzhou boasts a complete drone industry chain and a rapidly growing eVTOL sector, with its total low-altitude economy scalenearing 100 billion yuan ($14.1 billion). Shenzhen is home to over 1,700 drone companies, with an output value of 96 billion yuan in 2023. Its industrial drones account for about 50% of the global market share, and consumer drones about 70%. Zhuhai has solid foundations in general aviation, with six airports and 12 licensed general aviation enterprises, accounting for 21% of Guangdong's total.

In Shenzhen, the established Smart Integrated Lower Airspace System (SILAS) uses a unified digital platform to manage airspace with precision. It offers one-stop public services such as airspace zoning, real-time airspace information control, flight applications,and weather data. In Guangzhou, a low-altitude flight meteorological data service platformdeveloped by the Guangzhou Meteorological Bureau provides meteorological services to ensure flight safety in the region. Meanwhile, relying on major stock exchanges, many cities, with Zhuhai as a representative, have been exploring the assetization and trading of low-altitude data, contributing to the diversification of low-altitude financial instruments.

广深珠上榜全国低空经济十强城市

粤港澳大湾区拥有低空经济相关企业超万家，是我国低空经济发展最具潜力的地区之一，也是全球无人机产业的引领地区。广州、深圳、珠海三强鼎立，均是全国低空经济发展十强城市。

相关数据显示，广州无人机产业链完备、eVTOL快速崛起，全市低空经济规模接近千亿元。深圳拥有无人机企业超过1700家，2023年产值达到960亿元，行业级无人机全球市场占比约50%，消费级达到70%。珠海通用航空基础条件较好，拥有6个机场、通用航空许可运营企业12家，占广东的21%。

在深圳，已建成的智能融合低空系统（SILAS）通过统一数字平台实现空域精细化管理，为飞行提供空域划设、动态管控信息、飞行申报、气象等一站式公共服务。在广州，低空飞行气象数据服务平台则为广州地区低空飞行提供气象保障服务。而依托各大证券交易所，以珠海为代表，不少城市早已开始了探索低空数据资产化交易的步伐，为丰富低空金融工具箱贡献地方力量。
