On December 28th, 2024, the Canton Tower Plaza officially opened. A month later, the Canton Tower Theater, located within the plaza, welcomed a grand artistic feast. The customized New Spring musical "Yingge" by the Guangzhou Southern Song and Dance Troupe was staged here from January 29th to February 12th.

The musical "Yingge" is adapted from the Southern Song and Dance Troupe's previous musical work "I Like You." Set against the backdrop of a Lingnan Yingge family, it tells the story of a rebellious son who, after experiencing the trials of society, returns to his family to inherit the tradition and promote the Yingge dance beyond its traditional circle. The play not only portrays the contemporary youth's sense of family and national identity and cultural awakening but also artistically presents the treasure of Lingnan culture, the Yingge dance, to the audience.

Yingge dance, as one of the representatives of Chinese warrior dances, is well-received in the Chaoshan area with its unique dance form and profound cultural connotations. This musical "Yingge" combines this traditional art form with the modern musical format, creating an entirely new artistic experience.

Liu Bochen, the associate director of the musical, said, "Our musical is not just a traditional Yingge dance performance but integrates Yingge, musical theater, local opera, silhouette, and other art forms into a unique stage art that interweaves the modern and the traditional. In terms of dance, we invited a traditional Yingge team from the Chaoshan area to guide our actors and train them in traditional Yingge dance. At the same time, we also incorporated modern dance elements to make the entire play full of fashion and crossover appeal."

In terms of artistic presentation, the musical "Yingge" not only includes elements of drama, dance, and song but also creates various venue atmospheres through silhouette art and scene transitions. The most eye-catching part is the collective quick-change segment in the final act. Liu introduced,"In this segment, we need to complete the collective quick-change for over 30 people in a very short time, switching from casual clothes to Yingge costumes. This segment was very challenging, but we managed to overcome it."

It is understood that for this play, relevant authorities of Canton Tower have introduced a combined ticket priced at 380 yuan, which includes a 330 yuan ticket for the musical and a 150 yuan ticket for the Sightseeing Observation Decks. Audiences can enjoy the musical while ascending China's tallest tower—the Canton Tower, to enjoy a 360-degree view of the beautiful scenery of the Flower City, making it a double delight.

广州塔剧场首演新春定制版音乐剧《英歌》

2024年12月28日，广州塔广场正式开业。时隔一个月，位于广场内的广州塔剧场将迎来一场盛大的艺术盛宴。由南方歌舞团创排的春节定制版音乐剧《英歌》，于1月29日至2月12日在此上演。

音乐剧《英歌》改编自南方歌舞团此前的音乐剧作品《黑鳯梨（喜欢你）》，以岭南英歌世家为背景，讲述了一个叛逆的儿子在经历社会的洗礼后，回归家族继承传统并破圈发扬英歌舞的故事。该剧不仅描绘了当代年轻人的家国情怀和血脉觉醒，更通过艺术的手法，将英歌舞这一岭南文化的瑰宝呈现在观众面前。

岭南英歌，作为中华战舞的代表之一，以其独特的舞蹈形式和深厚的文化底蕴，在潮汕地区深受欢迎。此次音乐剧《英歌》将这一传统艺术形式与现代音乐剧形式相结合，创造出了全新的艺术体验。

音乐剧副导演刘柏辰表示：“我们这次的音乐剧不仅仅是传统的英歌舞表演，而是将英歌、音乐剧、地方戏、剪影等多种艺术形式融为一体，打造出现代与传统交织的独特舞台艺术。在舞蹈方面，我们邀请了潮汕地区的正统英歌团队对演员进行指导，训练传统的英歌舞蹈。同时，我们还结合现代舞蹈元素，让整部戏充满了时尚感和跨界感。”

在艺术呈现上，音乐剧《英歌》不仅包含了戏剧、舞蹈和歌曲等多种元素，还通过剪影、景观切换等手法，营造出各种不一样的场地氛围。其中，最引人注目的莫过于最后一场的集体抢装环节。刘柏辰介绍：“这一环节我们需要在很短的时间内完成30多个人的集体抢装，从生活装切换到英歌服。这个环节非常困难，但我们最终还是克服了。”

据了解，这次广州塔在该剧330元票价上，增加了380元广州塔+演出的联票，包含了150元白云星空观光票。观众可以在欣赏音乐剧的同时，登上中国第一高塔——广州塔，360度欣赏花城的美景，享受双重钜惠。
